You know...I once made a video entitled "Jimmy Young Life And Boxing Instruction Philosophy Benefit". I'll have to upload it for you.

    Edit:

    http://tinypic.com/m/fwrvdj/4

I'll have to go through the proper channels to get it on the official youtube channel for these things, but enjoy the high definition I used. Sorry for the non-embedding. :blurp

 Young would make them look like utter simpletons, if a green, scrawny Ali and Kevin Safety Pin Johnson could do it.

Young was one of my fav fighters back in the 70's but I watched his bout with Norton and did not see Young winning that fight. Young was as usual too layed back while Ken was attacking. It was relatively close but I had Norton ahead 9-6 in the end. Rounds that were close if Young would have just been able to open up he would have won but instead he stood back and boxed.

I rate Jimmy the fifth best heavy of the seventies. Very underrated craftsman.

An embeddable for those who never venture off world. Credit to Bajingo for understanding youtube and having a channel there. :yep

Thank you kindly, laddies. It illustrates his superb non-jab and non-overhand right, I think.

He'd beat vitali just like Byrd did.

The liston remark is just more to provoke reaction from Liston lovers.

Just watched young v Ali. Had it 8-7 to the defending champ.
Also had young losing the same scoreline to Norton.

Did agree he'd beaten George though. Never scored that one against young.

Pep gets a lot of,play for supposedly once winning a round without throwing a punch. Well Young once won a 15 round fight without throwing a punch. And they call Pep a master boxer...

Ali was lucky many times and this was one of those, because he was Ali he had everyone conned in thinking he was being lazy but not losing and could turn the switch at any time....I think Young won a close fight
