Fair enough. Though the Klits also show up in shape, so to dismiss their achievements on size alone is equally unfair, agreed?

Jesus. Marciano made a total of 6 defenses of his title with a total of 1 good opponent who was - you guessed it - a blown up light-heavy.

Dempsey's title reign wasn't that great either.

Now, we can all agree that the K-bros are not the greatest heavies ever, but they are not being overrated by anyone with serious knowledge of boxing, and, in fact, most casual fans tend to UNDERrate them. Just like you are doing.

It is extremely rare that two fighters go 7 and 11 years (and counting) undefeated while fighting the best available contenders. It is true the quality of those contenders isn't top-notch but it is an achievement nonetheless.

They are totally overrated and fought in a weak ass era. Ali, Lewis, and Tyson would have killed them both.

If anything the K brothers are underrated, not overrated. Nobody claims they're the best boxers that ever lived (and if someone does claim that then he's wrong).

To deny the K brothers their their entry into boxing history though is naive and wrong. People will talk about them in 10 years and probably also in 40 years time.

Just like we still talk about Bowe, Dempsey, Marciano and Holmes today.

Just name one mid-tier opponent that Vitali has beat.

Marciano fought like a gladitor and his opponents were HOF fighters who showed up in great shape and fought with determination..
I'm not saying that Marciano was the greatest either, but atleast his opponents weren't out of shape and he didn't hold and avoided the fight for 12 rounds..

Some say Ali's era was garbage, some say this era is garbage. So I guess the conclusion is that HW boxing in general is garbage?

Wladimir fans try to convince me as to why I should be impressed by him, and I can't help but think, I have SEEN him fight enough to make up my own mind, don't need to be told what I am watching. The conclusion to watching his fights - I don't like watching his fights. If he's fighting bums like most say he is then why can't he atleast put on a show instead of looking like he's fighting the HW version of Mayweather? If Tyson and company were fighting bums - atleast they looked good doing it, which is expected when facing inferior competition. Atleast Vitali can entertain somewhat.

Adamek did, but the win was criticised afterwards for Adamek being too small.

The problem is just that he quitted against Byrd and got his face torn off by Lewis, you can try and explain this all you want, but in the end he lost to the two best fighters he has ever faced..

The only great fighters Marciano beat were Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore (two truly greats btw.) but those guys were both blown up light heavyweights (and also old) - the kind of guys you are critisizing Wladimir for fighting. Like I said Wladimir doesn't have the greatest CV ever - but it bears comparison to Marcianos because even though Rocky has slightly better names on his, he only made 6 defences against Wladimir's 14 (and counting). I'd say it bears comparison to Tyson's too because even though he was spectacular, he didn't really beat any great fighters either. Again this is not to say I neccesarily would put Wlad above those guys - just that he is in the same league, at least.
