1 & 2) He has a say because it meant finalising a contract afterward would put his belt at risk

    3) There are a disproportionate amount of K supporters on this site who come with rubbish thats just like that.
Also, its only a logical assumption if you believe Haye was the sole reason all those negotiations failed. With so many other fighters claiming the Ks were greedy negotiators, that would be pretty naive.

A unification trumps a mandatory defence.

wrong... wlad had every intension of signing the contract asap.

btw... the date was Jan 5th not the 11th... haye was ginen that cut off date from day 1..... Haye has promosed this and that and then when the contract hits his desk... he either hides or changes the deal and his mind. It was only verbal so wlad took the chisora fight incase haye pulled the same ****. All haye had to do was sign and wlad would have signed as well..... right away... not after the chisora fight

You said it yourself ... The only thing Haye needs to do is to squeeze in a fight in between. You are getting yourself all worked up for no reason. :fight

Haye said: "Fight me next, July 2nd"

Wlad said: "Sure. And I am going to bash up Chisora as a tune up."

Haye said: "Then I won´t fight you July 2nd."

Wlad said: "But you are most welcome to."

    Haye said: "Nope."

As soon as Wlad took the Chisora fight that immediately changes the terms of the contract that would of been drawn up, there would be so many if's and buts that would have to be inserted into a contract with a fight taking place before. Say wlad loses his belts, should Wlad still get 50/50 and have the fight in Germany? No. Also Wlad would want a rematch with Chisora which will be in that contract.

Haye would have signed the contract, you know it, Wlad knows it, and you also know that a proper contract cannot be signed now until after the Chisora fight. A verbal, prelimanery agreement maybe but that is not a final signed contract which is what Haye needed for the WBA.

As for Haye changing his mind, it seemed that it was Wlad doing that and arguing over stupid little things to which Haye agreed to everything, no?

Also it is utterly disrespectful to Chisora to and i hope he gets his ass kicked for that reason.

again.. all Haye had to do was sign the contract.... he would only verbal agree to terms even though he knew about the cut off date... so wlad wasnt going to get screwed again by not fighting wating for David then David hides and wont sign. The deal could have been worked out... look at Adamek... perfect example

I still dont see the issue...... if haye was so willing to fight, why only verbal agreements?... all haye has to do is fight his mand... move the fight to september... and he can fight wlad and retire..... what kills me is the reasons Haye said no to wlad but then turns around and wants winner of Vitali0solis which had the EXACT same time issues that were such a concern for Haye with Wlad:oops::oops::oops::oops:

Generally yes, but it is not automatic. Haye will need a special permit to unify instead of going through mandatory and it is a political decision within WBA.

Even so, it would be silly to assume the WBA will make him fight a mandatory instead and then slag the man off for it.

    Had Wlad signed the contract?

I havnt heard this once from the Klits or in the media that Haye missed the cut off date, only that on the 5th Jan Wlad announced he was fighting Chisora which automatically killed the Haye fight.

You say as well it could be worked out in September but then it comes out K2 had been in talks with Adameks people for a week and it was a "sure thing" for September so obviously Wlad has ruled out September as well for a Haye fight.

As for the Vitali story, it was only reported in a newspaper in England, enough said.

But then Wlad-Chisora fights is irrelevant to WBA decision. Haye can make an prelimiary agreement with Klitschkos for July 2nd. WBA can still consider special permit and grant it conditionally, so that Haye either fights for unification or fights Chagaev as mandatory on July 2nd.

Absolute ****. Sorry, but that is horrendous.

If one of those is more career defining than a fight with Haye, then Wlad has no legacy, full stop.
