I just checked back over both eras. Ali fought every significant name from the 60's and 70's as far as I can see, and beat them all apart from Holmes and Berbick when he was suffering from Parkinsons.

Now check out the best of the fighters from the 90's and 00's....how many has either Klit even faced, never mind beaten?

    Log off and be quiet.

But, we're supposed to skip the first 6 or 7 years of the 2000's because the klits were getting KO'd...

Lennox Lewis was knocked out cold by Rahman, TKO'd by McCall. Jones Lous was knocked out cold! Tyson was knocked out, Holmes, Spinks, do they have bad chins?

No fighter in history destroyed fighters and their futures like K2.

    ATG top 10 with ease.

Not to mention the late 90's....Lewis, Holyfield and Tyson were total cowards for avoiding guys that had been stopped by Purrity and Byrd

Just about sums VITLAY up that does.

It's much harder to unify a division now yes, too many bull**** belts, 2 of which WALDO holds yet claims to be unified whereas in the 1970's he'd actually have been title-less as none of the belts he now holds even existed back then :yep

    ROFL

ALI was KO'd by the bum Henry Cooper.....honestly Henry Cooper...he was a nobody that would not even be top 30 in the heavyweight division today.

Nothing like having to cheat to beat a total bum.

Byrd TKO'd VITLAY, look it up on boxrec. Then look up the rules of boxing....if someone says they don't want to carry on then it's a TKO to the other guy.

So Tyson was poor in the 90's, why no Klitschko fight then? If the Klits were so great back then they should have been champing at the bit to fight the fading former champion surely?

Ah yes, I remember it now - they were too busy squabbling over the crappy WBO belt with bums while the real fighters all fought for the real belts.

Cooper was the number 1 HW in the UK when Ali fought him, hardly a bum. Ali was 21 years old too, he sucked it up and won in the next round. How did young WALDO v Purrity go again?

Say what you like about the Berbick loss, Ali finished on his feet and Berbick went on to become a champion.

How does that compare with Purrity? Did Ali lose to the equivalent of Purrity back in the 60's when he had his health? Nope he was too busy beating the **** out of the likes of Liston and Patterson....therein lies the difference.
