I dont think that it does really matter whether Abraham has a German passport or not that he is widely known in his adopted Germany,darien. Erdei is a very likeable human being.His problem is his promoter and the lack of tv exposure in Germany. Not only do Sauerland's boys get big fights far earlier than fighters of Sauerland's rival Kohl he somehow manages to put them in the limelight in a very early stage of their pro career as well. Zsolt is just a very good fighter among dozens of other great and outstanding boxers in a vast fight stable.To top it all the German tv channel which cooperates with Kohl isnt known for its good tv coverage of boxing.Lots of chatterboxes there,and apart from the main fights there is no tv coverage for the undercard fighters. The German tv channel which cooperates with Sauerland does an excellent job. Nevertheless it makes you sick to know that a very limited boxer like Danilo Haussler is quite known among casual sport fans whereas a truly great boxer like Dzindziruk is almost unknown even among box aficionados! Zsolt Erdei deserves better and more tv coverage IMO.
I agree aith all your points, still I believe that having adopted the German citizenship helped Abraham to achieve the popularity he has nowadays. But I agree that's not the only reason. He has a more exciting style and as you've said Sauerland does a much better job in handling the media.
Hmm thats interesting. Jones is careful about who he fights but his legacy is sealed so I dont really blame him after the injuries he's taken. Tarver on the other hand has been totally unreasonable and spoiled since the Rocky movie. However, I also believe team Erdei knows that the German fans are easily led to believe what they want to believe. Just look at the recent Henry Maskerade. But then Erdei does have the Lineal title which I personally hold above all others because in reality its the only title that is always won in the ring as I recently revealed. To bad today's fighters are more interested in the heavily promoted Ring belt which is founded upon post 2000 opinion--biased media opinion.:-(
Do you really think that today's fighters truly care a fig for belt of an American based mag? I dare to say that most top fighters outside the USA have never heard of "The Ring" and its so called "Ring belt".I may be wrong of course!
Erdei is consider a joke in the USA and Australia, he has had a title for a couple of years and has not fought one guy in the top 10.

Zsolt Erdei HAS to stop Mendoza tonight. A wide UD simply will not do if he is indeed serious about making a big fight next. He has to dig deep if the going gets tough tonight and earn that stoppage.
Erdei is not a real KO artist, so I can imagine this fight going the distance. I believe this will be a very one-sided schooling with a possible late round (8-9) TKO. However, I don't see a why would a shutout be less convincing than a KO.
