:deal Bute is sure to face Kessler and the super 6 winner if he wins. Doesn't need the belt no more. I think Bute only wants to please his Romanina fans and he know that Mendy is the only opponent he'll bring there but he should delay that project. I think I wouldn't even watch that fight on a free stream...

I hope his promoter has other plans. Why not Dirrell in June? Call the man now.

 

I stated in a previous post that Dirrell might be Bute's hardest opponent because of his style but that's not the reason for which I don't want Bute fight him. It's because Dirrell is a male ***** who didn't want to fight Ward. Even Mendy deserves more this fight rather than Dirrell. After he fights Ward like he was supposed to, Bute can call him or vice-versa.

 

I don't like how Dirrell stepped aside of the super 6 but he would be a better opponent than Mendy. Both Bute and Dirrell are to be at "on the ropes" tonight. Will Dirrell call Bute?

 

No doubt about it. He will be a much, much better opponent. But that's not the point. I don't want to be part of it. I'm not paying money for that scum, Dirrell. I don't even want to be counted for television market shares on the night of the fight. I'll probably download the fight as illegally as possible . However, I really doubt Dirrell will want to come to Romania.
As I know this female, Dirrell, I think he/she will probably talk **** and complain about Bute, complaining that he was calling Bute since childhood. He'll probably complain that he left a lot of messages on his facebook account and even a child would see that those hidden messages were a call to fight and he'll also complain about Bute's adversaries. He'll once again complain about AA knock down and he'll complain that Ward will win the tournament.

 

They'll never drop that belt.

 

Then, the IBF should force Mendy to face Dirrell to have the mandatory spot.

Good comeback fight for Dirrell and it prevents us from 1000 new threads about Bute facing cab driver and Pizzaman.

 

Don't know if you believe me when I say this but... I think Bute himself doesn't want that. He'll have no one to fight in Romania in June.

 

I'm with you here. Dirrell should be forgotten due to the distasteful stunt he pulled. However the boxing world doesn't work like this so I am sure that Dirrell will be back in the mix sooner than I like.

Of course it wont be on Showtime as Ken Hershman has basically denounced Dirrell, but as we all know there's other options/networks.

 

Dropping the belt = hard to explain to the media

= controversial for the casual boxing fan, which is a great portion of his fan base in QC

= long time champ locally labeled as a winner, with no belt for a while

= big risk for Interbox, considering Bute cannot afford controversy in the media (losing the odd fan here & there)

= all around a worse option than fighting Mendy early June, in Romania where there would actually be no Showtime cameras, and which would still allow for a Kessler fight to happen in September

Doesn't make sense from a PR and admin standpoint to drop the belt. Not happening.

 

He shouldn't drop the belt. Belts are used in negotiation. If he doesn't have a belt going into the Kessler fight, Mikkel will ask for the bigger cut. Likewise if he fights the Super6 winner, who'd be putting 2 belts up for grabs.
The stupidity here is IBFs. Mendy's fight with Bika was July 31st. Bute fought his mandatory, Brinkley, october 15th. How can there be 2 mandatories lined up at the same time? Why is the IBF allowing Mendy to hold the mandatory position hostage for more than a year?
I think it would be more logical to determine a new mandatory AFTER the existing mandatory has been dispatched. Ergo, Mendy should have fought someone else after October 15 to become mandatory. The stupid ******* avoided the ring since last summer ,during which time Bute had 2 fights, just so he wouldn't lose his shot at a payday. He knows that a Bute fight is the biggest money fight out there in his weight class and wants to cash out on his way out.

 

You may be right. Bute was supposed to fight Bfinkley in Romania last year. All was settled for June but the Romanian government had not the money.

It seems Bute wants badly to fight in his country of origin. The timing was good last year, it is not this year.

 

**** him as well as I am concerned, if they are thinking we will be fed with this shitty fight ! Rudel Obreja(a local thug) is making this fight in Romania...and making IntreBox belive that he will make a big event. It will not be, as you can only fool the fools. He(Rudel Obreja) just want to cash out some BIG $$$$ . I won't go and I will try to make everybody see that this is a fools show.
