The man that Knocked Larry Holmes out twice

    I just came across this video recently and decided it needs it's own thread. This is footage from the 72' Olympic trials and is the second time Wells knocked out Holmes. Too my knowledge, Wells is the only southpaw Larry ever fought. Wells had a pretty stellar amateur career and ended up a fire fighter and part time pro boxer. He finished with a 13-8 record as a pro after having 189 wins in the amateurs.

    At least in am’s, Wells really had the wood on Larry. Nick could really thump and it was with the right hand IIRC. Sorry, didn’t watch the video but I have seen it before some time back.
