No, I wouldn't say they are chinny. Just look at the people that put them down. Pacquiao and Vasquez... You have to remember Rafael Marquez MOVED UP to fight Vasquez. He cleaned out the Bantamweight division. Vasquez is the biggest puncher he has faced, if he hits him flush its a good chance he's going down. With JMM, he was knocked down by Pacquiao, but got up... no shame in that. I say they both have good chins, they've just fought two elite level hard punchers.
Silly thread. Im sorry but the evidence says you are talking ****. A weak chin is this.. they get decked and they don't get back up. JMM hit the floor three times vs Manny in the first round and got his head back and taught him a lesson imo. I also had JMM 1 point infront in the rematch. Rafa is a beast in himself, weak chinnd he is not. This shouldnt even be an issue.
barrera also KD'd jmm aside from pac who did it 4x (even 5x according to some). i'm not sure how many times rafa got dropped by izzy in their three fights. but rafa did have 3 other KO loses earlier in his career though. they may be "chinny" moreso with rafa but they are also resilient and have good recuperative powers especially on jmm's part.
JMM is not chinny at all. In his 2 fights against Pac he has only been really shaken up once, after the 3rd round KD. He gets knocked down because maybe he doesnt have the strongest legs, but his chin is rock solid. Rafa is definately more chinny than his brother.
JMM got knocked down by Pac and Barrera....where's the shame in that? Izzy Vasquez at one point was in discussion for top power P4P.
Rafael's chin has always been very shaky but his skill level, power, and heart still allowed him to be a P4P elite despite that. Rafa at 118 with an iron chin would be an ATG H2H fighter. JMM's chin is definitely better than his brother's and although it's slightly shaky, his overall punch resistance is very good and his recovery rate is great.
