I just read an article that if Beterbiev gets past Smith in August Bob Arum is looking for a match against D. Benavidez at 175lbs.
If this goes down who takes it?

Being that Beterbiev is 38 years old he could start showing his age at any time but if that doesn't happen he will make the undisciplined Benavidez his 21st KO victim. (Assuming he does the same to Callum Smith) Even if Artur does start showing his age he has a reasonably good chance of winning.

I think you'd see who the real monster is in that matchup if it happens.

We always hear about the 'Mexican warriors' and so forth but they never seem to have any power. Let's remember Canelo only developed his after years of PEDs. Sure, they can be tough, but that's not enough with someone like Beterbiev. I think you need one-punch power to take him out.

 

Everyone is going to go on about the power but I would just like to point out beterbiev also has better footwork and boxing ability.
