No one knows ****. This forum is full of mostly opinions. I've seen a number of Povetkin and Adamek fights and Adamek clearly stands out. This is fact, not opinion.
And I just bought 2 of them less than 10 minutes ago for Feb. 6th in Newark against Estrada! Now all we need are 2 new Polska T Shirts:deal
Does anyone have updates on Adamek's latest weight progress? Should we expect him to be at around 220 or 230 lbs with Estrada? What about Arreola if it gets there?
He weighed 101 kg last week, so during the fight he will weigh probably about 100kg which is 220lbs. I dont expect Adamek weighing more than 230 pounds during his HW experience. 220-225 pounds would be perfect.
I'm 43 same height 215 "buffet" weight, but the fact remains he needs to be 240, not 260. Less weight is better stamina and speed.
At 15% body fat Arreola would probably just look like a tall thin kid who's naturally over 200 lbs. Not bad, but not enough against the rugged Klitschkos.
I think ive seen enough of him and followed him enough now that i can be confident in knowing what Adamek is all about... and ill be rooting for him against everyone besides Wlad and Vitali, i hope he can get a fight with Haye.... You guys got quite a warrior :good
Arreola don't seem to be very muscular, underneath all that gobby torso fat. He looks about as developed as Liakhovich. If he were to be decently lean, as a professional world class fighter who takes his career very seriously should be, he's probably weight something like 225.
I heard Adamek is over 230 now. Still it took him like 200 power punches to finish finished Golota... He doesn't seem to have a frame to compete with the best heavyweights including haye IMO. He likes to slug it out, he's not a defensive wizard... I'm waiting for his next fight though, we'll see.
I need to see more of him at heavyweight. let's see he's punching power vs Arreola. And his chin- will he be composed enough to keep it a nice boxing match at least till Arreola possibly runs out of gas..? He can't fight the way he fought vs Briggs for the LH belt- I think everyone agrees. And he doesn't have a shot like Hayemaker- the kind that literally made Valuev stumble. The key to his success at HW is tactics and composure- developing defensive skills and counter attacks(even more) PS. His loss vs Dawson was a question of bad trainer that stubbornly, "violently" tried to make his style more "black". Adamek is smart- with the right trainer he should be able to become a top-tier
Andrew was putting together great combinations against Mollo and that wasn't so long ago. But how do you do it when you're weighing 260 and coming into the ring half asleep like he did against Austin? Andrew is thick even when he's under 240. Any extra weight makes him too top heavy to get around. His long arms alone probably weigh 50 pounds.
