What you mean to say is that it is a fact that that is your opinion :good lol Agree 220 give or take a couple pounds is his ideal weight imo, 230ish is too big. About Adamek's power vs Haye's, i know alot would call me crazy but i do believe he hits about as hard. Haye probably has a little more raw power but his punches are wild Gaymaker swings, he comes from the old school of "swing hard in case you hit something" Adamek has great great timing especially with his right cross. Watch his shots that dropped Cunningham and Golota. He sneaks it, usually over top of a lazy jab, so they can't see it coming. His timing coupled with his power is the equalizer and what makes him just as dangerous imo. Haye is 220ish give or take a pound, same as Adamek, and he's 6'3 vs 6'1 1/2. Adamek right now is the same size as Haye, Boytsov, Povetkin, Chagaev, Ibragimov. He's a legit HW imo and suprisingly has the frame to carry it, i wouldn't have thought that watching the Briggs fights but he is. And i'v never been a fan of Western trainers with Eurasian fighters. Tszyu, Jirov, Lyakhovich, Darchinyan, Adamek. More often than not it is a bad fit and typically the technically sound Eastern fighters boxing skills deteriorate with the western trainers. It's 2X more likely when they have big punching power.I'm worried about Korobov for the same reason.
Yes he is a cruiser, but he may be able to move up to HW in the future. Proksa fought few times in US, but it was in the beginning of his career (he fought in Las Vegas - there were the biggest fights are ) As I read polish forums, people say that Proksa has very bad contract with his manager, which he cant break off. I like Proksa nearly as much as Adamek, because he is very active offensive fighter with very good defensive skills - which is very very rare :good All the good polish young fighters (Masternak, Szpilka, Wawrzyk) know that they should fight in US to reach something more, so they fight there, when it is possible :good I think that Proksa really want to back to US, but he is not able, because of his manager. Its sad
You explained very well why Adameks punches are so devgastating, althought they arent thrown with such a power as Hayes :good This is what I think. What can I add is that Adamek likes to throw body punches, before he reaches the head. He just want to weaken the opponent as much as possible. While Haye is definitely hunting for the heavy punch to the head. And yeah, despite the Klitschkos Adamek doesnt have visible disadvantage in size in comparison to the rest of the HW top. I saw this boxer and I was impressed. He will be the champion in next few years
Great point, i forgot the Banks fight which is a perfect example. He snuck the right hand in behind his jab and Banks didn't even see it. Then when he went to finish him after the first KD he threw 2 or 3 great body shots to get him to drop his hands and boom, those final head combo's were ****ing brutal. PERFECT example of how to finish a guy when you have him hurt. Very smart punch selection. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHAU9fJGwS8[/ame] Korobov is probably my favorite fighter to watch and favorite prospect. Korobov vs Daniel Jacobs who is now 18-0 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R_LJ3HgYgo[/ame] Watch 4:00 - 4:30 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS_xb-8Fcy0&feature=related[/ame] I understand why you're saying that but being honest, he's technically sound, great stamina and used to have good handspeed and throw in combo's. Add that with his size and he was very formitable. Valuev from 00-04 was a difficult fighter for anybody.
Korobov vs Proksa would have been awesome fight. Two young fighters, who are very active offensive fighters and they both throw strong punches. Brutal fight
so estrada plans to come in at 220. light. and adamek will come in heavy, i'm guesing 220+. does adamek want to show he can back up estrada, dominate him physically, maybe stop him? to prove his strength and power as a heavyweight? estrada seems a good pick. adamek hasn't fought a world class opponent since cunningham and banks. estrada - a tricky fringe contender - should get him in the right direction, get his sharpness up in a semi-competitive bout. and hopefully arreola - a top 10 heavyweight contender- is delivered afterward.
I hear you style wise but i think Proksa is too small. He's fought and can make 154 and is 5'8. Korobov fought at 166 in the Am's and is 5'11 and has a big build, could never make 154. I imagine he'll move up at 168 in a few years. Nah there is nowhere near enough talent. Valuev, Orlov, Ustinov. There would be like 6 or 7 terrible fighters. Aside from the Klitschko's there aren't really any good big guys. Helenius and Pulev are good but any "smaller" heavy could compete. Klitschko's, Lewis, Bowe they're rare fighters.
BTW, i expect to see "growing pains" in adamek, at this new weight. he did seem uncomfortable in the 3rd round vs golota, but came back well. he seemed to feel his opponent's weight, and appeared tired - momentarily - before reasserting himself. something similar also happened in the bell fight, bell being a monster cruiserweight. it's interesting to look at evander holyfield's early heavyweight fights. his 3rd heavyweight fight, vs adilson rodriguez. rodriguez hits him with so many shots in the first minutes, before holyfield scores the KO soon afterward. holyfield seems somewhat stunned, flustered by the heavy shots, in this his 3rd heavyweight bout after moving up from cruiserweight... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpWFo--CxTY[/ame] i hope ppl don't expect perfect performances from adamek. being a heavyweight is serious, and there will be struggles...
I mean the fight at 160. I know that Korobov has size advantage, but I see this fantasy fight as brutal and close, probably Proksa being the underdog, because of the size disadvantage. Korobov = size adventage, Proksa = bigger experience as a pro. But probably thay will never meet, because as you say Korobov may go to 168.
I was just goint to post this in here lol.... i have to say i am starting to become a fan of adamek.... :deal I hope hes able to stay active and i hope he does get that fight against Arreola.
Adamek looks really beefed up LOL Looks like Tomasz likes his wife's Pierogis and Bigos xd Estrada should be a 8-4 UD for Tomek. Estrada is tough but Tomasz is really well prepared and pumped up.
Im little worried about this all new weight , he has to keep his main advantages= speed ,high workrate, mobility and stamina, He has to fight in&out, combination and move thats in my opinion the way tu success versus division top dogs , not stand and brawl , idk if this additional weight will help him , hope they know wot they're doing.
