Once again Adamek silences the critics. Tactically perfect and physically supreme Adamek has acheived a great feat by going from LHW to HW and performing like he does. I like what I see from the new training team and think they can continue to develop Tomasz. The Polish fans did us proud, Tomasz did us proud, a great night for boxing. To all the ESB armchair experts saying Tomasz would get smoked...... Fire up the Playstations and get back to Fight Night 3 :yep
Yes. Now its time to write: I was wrong. I doubt that many people will do it. However I saw some users who actually did it.
Would Jack Dempsey be looked at as a REAL HW by todays standards? I don't think so. Would he still be the Killer in the ring that he was? Probably... Adamek is a modern day Jack Dempsey, only SMARTER, if you can believe that. This really is becoming too good to be true, his quest for a HW title. associated press and kevin iole had it 114-114. saying it looked like arreola would overpower him, but arreola hurt his hand. iole thinks a rematch - this time in newark, adamek's turf - is a good idea. some ppl can't be arsed, can they? never read such nonsense in all my life. the fight should have been in newark in the first place, and what does adamek have to prove to arreola, now? iole probably wrote the AP piece as well as his yahoo sports column.
What I like the most in the Arrola fight is Adamek's stamina and head movement. Comparing to the Estrada fight it is a big improvement.
Yes, I like what Shields and Bloodworth are doing. I think they sold Adamek on the idea that he must utilize more movement and avoid slugging it out in this division.
I am watching the fight again and I am impressed by Adamek's jab too. I wonder who has better reach, Adamek or Arreola? During the fight in polish TV commentator said that Adamek has 203cm and Arreola 190cm, but I dont buy it.
How can you not get on this express? This guy has been in like 3 FOTY candidates already, and he brought it all out for the Arreola fight too. Go Adamek!
Yeah he is definately carrying the weight better than in Estrada fight. Props to Bryan Caldwell - conditoning trainer. Guess all the swimming and electric stairs worked well for Adamek.
“I have couple of words for those who are saying that I cannot fight Arreola because he is a much better puncher than Estrada. First of all every fight is different, and anyone who knows about boxing can say ‘Estrada hit him, but Arreola will do the same, and harder.’ We don’t know that. Maybe it will be easier for me to avoid punches from Arreola, and maybe it will be easier for me to hit him! We just don’t know, but won’t it be interesting to see…“ wise words from adamek after the estrada fight.
Kevin iole and Dan raphael are ****ing idiots, you should know this by now. The HBO stats said Arreola had a 25 1/2 inch reach, Adamek had 25 inch. So Arreola had a 1/2" advantage (1 inch = 2.54cm)
I was most impressed by his ability to move, tieup, and just survive when Arreola was landing on him. Adamek looked to be slightly stunned a few times, and being the very tough guy he is, he kept moving, throwing back, and never got in any real deep trouble. Not to mention his very effictive offensive attacks spoke for themselves, by the look of Arreola's swollen face. Impressive performance, no question.:good
