I would like to see him KOing Boytsov, but HBO won't make it happen. I wouldl ike him to fight Haye, imo he's ready and the fight wouldn't last more than 6 rounds, 55-45 for Adamek, but damn.. it also will not happen. I read Solis is possible, but for me it would be risky. That fatass is good and matbe even faster than Tomasz, but Goral has got better footwork, what about his CHEEN ? Anyone ?

I read somewhere that if Wlad fights Haye, then IBF may strip him from the belt. And actual top4 IBF:
    1 Alexander Povetkin Russian Federation
    2 Samuel Peter United States
    3 Denis Boytsov Germany
    4 Tomasz Adamek Poland

After beating Arreola who is ranked #9, Adamek should move to #2 or #3. Then Povetkin-Adamek for vacant IBF? :thumbsup

Where do you think Adamek has bigger chances for winning the title? Against Haye or against Povetkin? Personally I think that it would be against Povetkin if the fight is in the US. In Germany Adamek's only chance is a KO. However now Adamek is promoted by HBO, so they would want to make this fight in the US.

I think haye would be easier but Povetkin is beatable aswell, especially since his chin is a mystery. And something tells me it aint that great.

I disagree with tiger , i think povetkin has 0 chance against Wlad and would be taken out earlier than chambers.

I think that Povetkin is a very underrated fighter. He won everything what was to win at amateurs. Now he beat some good or very good HWs: Donald, Byrd, Estrada, Chambers. All in all, I see Adamek as a more complete fighter now, thats why I see Adamek winning.

But he has no defence. He's very easy to hit , small with suspect chin and not enough power to put wlad down with single shot. And u can forget about hiting wlad with combinations , povetkin is 2 small for this. Why do you think they re ducking wlad right now? They re aware Povetkin doesnt stand a chance.

why is it that on these adamek threads, no one rates any small heavyweight outside of adamek?

i don't know. probably has a better chance vs haye, due to haye's fragility and low workrate. but he will half to take some seriously hard shots and will probably be bleeding and puffed up. i don't want to see the fight in england because an english ref will jump in and stop the fight if adamek gets shaken a few times. english refs regularly stop even the guys that have great recovery powers, that can take a beating and come back.

i still think povetkin is a man to stay away from. he is a good medium sized heavyweight. his combos are improving, he can throw 100 shots a round even when he has the flu (chambers fight). atlas has made him fitter and sharper. he is one of those guys that will get in your face and not relent. adamek would give him a great fight, but i'd think povetkin outworks him. povetkin is a lot more skilled than ppl think.

i think adamek should wait and see what happens. these HBO dates will increase his standing in the sport, get him acknowledgement as a p4p fighter, and get more big paydays. i seriously believe the heavyweight division will change big time; that the balance of power will shift from the klitschkos to the smaller heavyweights that HBO - boxing's biggest paymaster - are starting to get behind.

IBF say that wlad and haye are negotiating, and that they will push back the mandatory - povetkin. thye won't allow the mandatory to get in the way of the fight. it's quite surprising, but clearly the IBF want to be a part of such a big fight, wlad v haye. the IBF usially strip even the best of champions.

i thought the IBF would strip wlad, leading to povetin v peter. but they say they won't do it.

of course, povetkin's ppl could get sneaky, and try to demand a vacant title shot when/if wlad v haye is signed.

What? Man for me povetkin-adamek fight is 50/50 but i just see that povetkin doesnt have the style nor size to compete with the klithko's and its pretty obvious for everybodyelse who i talk to about this. You re the only guy i see who's giving povetkin any chance and even bigger chance than Haye , who atleast has big punchers chance.

Its not always that if fighter A is better than fighter B that means he has a batter chance against fighter C (than fghter b) Its about styles: which style works against who. Povetkin "only forward", open style with no lateral movement, Wont work against the klitchko's. And he KNOWS it thats why he wants no part of wlad and waits for any belt to be vacated so his promoter will put him in the fight for it.

i believe povetkin has a lot more than ppl are giving him credit for.

he has added lateral movement with atlas, in the lst 2 fights.

povetkin has great heart, good engine, good punch variety, throws combos and is a master of using feints to get in position. when he's in a clinch he always gets a hand free to punch, when he's inside he does subtle things to find the right angle. you pretty much need a guy who fights really well coming forward, to compete properly with the klitschkos. povetkin seems to be the only man who can close the gap fast enough. his forward momentum is crucial.

obviosuly though, povetkin will sit tight, look for weaknesses, and hopefully challenge the haye-wlad winner. if haye-wlad happens.

Arreola was supposed to be HBO's cash cow. WoW did that backfire...lol...but they still have to make shrek look good because they have a contract with him.
