    posted this in another thread

to me similar to Briggs adamek Kessler was looking very good at times when he opened up but did it too few times

so manuy of the rounds to me were pretty close ( later on not so much) but 10 more shots by kessler each round would have made a difference. Kessler punches were hurting when he did the right thing he wasn't tired at the end of the fight so why did he keep so much fight inside him when from about round 9 his only way of winning was by KO the last 3 he needed to ko Joe to win so why not let loose

And you can add willingness to make the fight happen - taking the challenge

he shows heart. Most guys would have gone into a shell and just tried to survive, this kid was pushing for the win till the last second of the fight.

I agree with all that's been said. I was especially impressed when he didn't blame his hand either before or after the fight, he simply said the better man won.

If he, as I suspect he will, goes on to reclaim all the belts and beat the MW crop as they move up, he'll have my support.

i'm a calzaghe fan but after tonight i'm also a kessler fan.

when joe moves to light heavy, kessler will clean the SM division out.

kessler impressed me alot and i'm sure he will have won many calzaghe fans over with both his performance and humbleness after the fight.

It's so funny with you huggers. Whatever it takes to make your guy look better. Kessler looked winded, gassed, weak, and confused in there, he didn't look world class, yet your going to talk him up as the next leader of the division all to make your guy Joe Calzaghe look even better.

    It's pathetic really.

Worthless are nondirect attempts to praise Calzaghe. It's his fans who starting such threads. What this uproar for? Nothing special happened. Calzaghe was betting favorite. It's just about unrealistic esb fans. Calzaghe was struggling with Bika. But nobody's talking Bika is a world beater.

dunno man, I thought Kessler looked tired from round 8, his output slowed (maybe just confidence being knocked out of him?) and he just didn't seem to have the energy to make the fight close by that point but for some very accurate and well placed power punches. Also I thought when JC went to Kesslers body he was really hurting him as he winced a lot especially in the 8th near the end and Joe had him backing up.

What impressed me most though was Kesslers heart, he was there to the end looking for the win, which imo is the sign of a great champion. He lost his belts, but he'll be back and will rule the division when Joe retires... unless of course the fight took something out of him mentally, as these type of fights can make or break a boxer.
