    I've trained by running up stadium stairs with a 70 lb punching bag on my shoulders.

    Hard.. I've seen guys who train with me do pizza without crust, sandwiches without oil, mayo and multigrain bread, or do sandwich and take off half of the bread..
    When I don't have to go home and cook I do that sandwich thing a lot.

    Inner tube or a cut out section of a heavy kitchen rubber glove

    Balance is often what you are born with. I can't do grappling for **** but when I did train in MMA, I'd always been told I had excellent balance, especially on one leg. (think one leg grabbed, pivot/push/bow kind situation)

    But! I think there are some excercise that can help you maximize your inner ear by getting those small muscles co-ordinated and strong. Standing on those balance ball things, holding kick stances with leg chambered one one leg, doing a lot stretches where you have one leg up..
