I'm on the Express. Mosley UD. I think his experience, speed, and durability will allow him to beat Margarito.

Im not convinced neither but its kinda hard to be 100 percent convinced in any fight of this magnitude anything can happen always and these guys are both on a very high level. Ive only seen Margarito fight 1 guy who was fast, durable and had enough in him to fight toe to toe all 12 rounds and that was Williams. Mosleys sheer toughness and will gets him far in this fight alone no offense to anyone but this isnt Cotto he isnt going to move away the entire night then gas out and get the **** beat of him and take a knee. This isnt Cintron he isnt just going to load up on right hands. Mosley has stamina, chin, speed, combos, all the punches in the book and balls. I like when Max Kellerman said its going to be very hard to break Shane Mosleys will. People try to talk about what Shane is stylistaclly to me hes just a fighter he just comes to fight and has determination you can see it in his eyes when this guy throws a power punch he puts 100 percent of himself into a fight and he looks to finish fights. He didnt need to finish DLH in the 1st fight but he tried anyway,he didnt need to finish Mayorga or Rivera in the final round of both those fights but he went all out and did anyway. Shane Mosley = WARRIOR

Man you guys don't learn. Rums this is why you lose predictions left and right. Everyone else, following Rums is a BAD idea.

Mosley doesn't have the punch to stop Margarito. He doesn't have the workrate to keep up with him and he doesn't have the speed he used to have to get out of the way all night. If Margarito doesn't stop him he'll still win a comfortable UD.

i agree with you but...i dont think Mosley hits any harder then Cotto does to be honest, but his chin and experience will be the difference in this fight, Margarito's taylor made for Mosley

    but yeah MOSLEY EXPRESS

You needn't convince me about Shane's warrior spirit inside the ring.
    :thumbsup

I think he has a real chance in this one and would love to see him pull it off.

    GO MOSLEY!

    :hh

^On the subject, what would happen if Shane won back the world welterweight championship at his age?

His stock would rise tremendously, which, in some ways is unfair, because I think he's largely underrated/underappraciated due to the number of losses he's accumulated.

I don't know why people are making comparisons between Margarito and Mayorga. Mosley did fine in the Mayorga fight, Mayorga showed up more serious and determined than he has in a while, and used a lot of spoiling tactics in the second half to delay the inevitable KO. Despite Mayorga's excessive clinching Mosley still won most of the rounds and got the KO against a bigger, stronger opponent. Mayorga and Margarito aren't even similar fighters. Mayorga hits harder, but throws less, clinches more and is basically an awkward slugger. Margarito is a pretty text-book pressure fighter, he doesn't clinch much, uses orthodox punches and his one shot power isn't as good as Mayorga's.

I had Mayorga ahead going into the 12th round. Mosley looked awful in that fight, and didn't try to change his strategy at any point.

I had it even after 10, but had Mosley up going into the final round. Considering I gave Mayorga the first 3 or 4 on my card, I seem to recall Shane doing better as the fight progressed.
