i am not going to get into this p4p debate because i think the wwhole thing is arguing for the sake of arguing, but Bhop is only in this ranking because he is with golden boy, i love the guy and he is good for boxing but in his last few fights i think hes only one 1/2, and he's 4th... he's 4th because he makes alot of money for golden boy so he gets promoted in their rankings.

I guess you missed the performance of the year, and schooling of p4p rated Pavlik, the split contentious decision against the then p4p no2 Calzaghe, his total one sided beating of Tarver at LH to make him the man there, and his victory over Winky Wright.

I know the Hw s never get considered for some reason not understood by me . But when there is a dominate fighter in there weight doesnt that imply that they are the p4p best at that weight . So how do they logically compare all this . Im not trying to hug nut but VK or WK , should they be up there? Or is this p4p more a contest of who throws more punches?

I would agree with that actually.

Morales was a shell by the third fight
Barrera was looking to survive from the first bell
    Diaz was handpicked

    JMM on the other hand.......

    And now DLH.......

I say well done to Hatton. Cotto despite his loss deserves to be ranked still. It was a great and competitive fight and then look at the level of his other opposition. It's nice to see Calzaghe up there. B-hop too but I just don't understand this obsession with Marquez.

Hatton doesn't even deserve to be in top 10 now, in my opinion.

He is coming off wins against Lazcano and Paulie, neither of them anythng special, and he didn't look good against Lazcano. Pior to that, he was whipped by Floyd at admittedly a higher weight than his natural one, but I thought he lost the Collazo fight also. As impressive as the performance was against Paulie, other fighters not on the list have been more consistant. Paul Williams, for example.

Juan Manuel Marquez is arguably the best p4p fighter in the world, and would have been the case had he been given the verdict in his rematch with Pacquiao. That fight could have gone either way. He's fought Barrera, pacquiao, and Casamayor in his last three fights, and knocked out Casa at lightweight.

Juan is deserving of his place.

Williams was outboxed comprehensively by Quintana - which is worse than Hatton losing to Mayweather.

I had Quintana winning by a 2 round margin, so it wasn't as comprehensive as you alluded too.

Since losing that fight, Williams came back to rematch Quintana and blew him out in the very first round. Of course, you already know this, but you left it out for obvious reasons. This on top of the fact he has beaten "the man" at 147, and moved up to 160 and knocked out his opposition in the first round, again, would give him a case for being top 10 material.

Mosley destroyed Collazo, whereas Hatton went to hell and back. He isn't a top 10 fighter.

I felt Quintana won 116-112, but hey, everybody is different.

Credit to him for avenging the loss in a rematch, but moving up in weight and taking on a top contender is different to facing a guy who is little more than a journeyman.

He established his dominance at 147 by beating the best Welterweight in the world, and now he is seeking bigger challenges at higher weights.

What is Hatton doing? Dominating a weak division. I would like Hatton to step up to fighters like Torres.

Margarito wasn't the best WW in the world at the time, but I understand your point very well.

The fact that he is 6'1'' and has 80-odd inch reach kinda helps you being able to move up in weight, you would agree?

Compare that to Hatton who is 5'6'' and has short arms - probably an average sized LW dominating 140lbs easily, and actually shown the bottle to step up to 147 and fight.

    Torres?

If (when if the fight happened) Hatton beat him, you would only trot out the usual 'Cotto showed him how it was done' line.

For me, he ought to drop to 135.

The point is, Williams has a win over the top dog at 147 and offered him a rematch.

    irrelevant.

Bottle alone doesn't get you on the p4p list else Gatti would have been on it for the majority of the 90s.

Yes, the huge puncher with fast hands. He almost had Cotto knocked out several times, and his only other loss was a controversial one against Holt.
I'm British, and I have no agenda. I happen to rate Torres higher than Paulie, and Hatton would get much respect from me if he was to beat him.

I think Juan Manuel Marquez, Juan Guzman, and Diaz have the styles to beat Hatton. If Ricky wants to be the best in his division, he should stay at 140.
