Kassi and Arreola engage in a hard fought draw...

Cobrita knocks Frampton down twice and fights hard and well every step of the way, in spite of getting outboxed...

Imam overcomes spirited resistance to secure a KOTY contender.

    Yeah...atrocious.

Kassi-Arreola was just pitiful, I feel bad for anyone that say through the whole thing, Frampton was nearly derailed by a cherry pick, the imam Ko was fantastic , but this Villenueva-Arroyo fight is giving Kassi-Arreola a run for its money for wfoty

Arreola-Kassi was evenly contested and not the mismatch that many were predicting. And the fight wasn't that bad, with a relatively high activity level for heavyweight contests

Cobrita's a good fighter, and anyone who thought this was a cherry pick didn't take the time to watch any of his fights.

Ironically, the match-up thought to be most appealing turned out to be the worst fight of the night to watch. But three out of four ain't bad.

Kassi might get some motivation after this bout.

Come on dude, Arreola-Kassi was terrible. Two overweight guys winging punches at each other and tiring in the 5th round

Also a 50th ranked kid fighting the top 3 fighter at 122 (some might've argued #1) is a clear cherry pick.

Please tell me which fights of Gonzales jr you watched? Explain to me how he deserved a chance at the title when his last four fights, he has lost once, and then went the distance with a guy that was 8-8 and 12-12

    * Yeah. Sounds like a lot of heavyweight fights with fighters not named Povetkin. At least this was competitive throughout, with enough shifts of momentum to keep the viewer's attention.

    * Check out Cobrita's fight with a then heavily-hyped and undefeated Hanzel Martinez. Gonzalez Jr. showed in that fight that he had talent; the results since then indicate that he wasn't necessarily consistent in displaying it and sometimes fought down to his foe's level.

    * Either way, people were complaining about the fight's being apparent mismatches when the card was made. Turns out that they weren't...and now people are complaining about that.

Guess some people are never satisfied.

Does pbc pay you to shill for them? Dude it's ok to admit a card was a dud, this is boxing there's a fight another fight next weekend to always bring us back

Arreola singing at, missing, and then huffing and puffing as he chased Kassi around the rig was terrible. Villanueva-Arroyo was dreadful, and JCCjr-Reyes was a freak show. Amir did his thing, and Frampton was nearly humiliated, but then turned things around for the rest of the fight and outclassed that Mexican kid.

Does Arum pay you to slag off on PBC all the time?

The CBS card was pretty good. The fights were competitive and eventful. If people expected mismatches and were disappointed that the were more competitive than expected, then that's their problem. I enjoyed watching that portion of the card.

The Showtime portion of the card featured a KOTY candidate, and a gutsy effort by an overmatched Reyes. Yeah, it was kind of a freak show, but pretty much any fight with Chavez is going to be that way.

Really, the only fight on the two cards that was truly disappointing was Arroyo-Villanueva. That looked to be competitive, and the two fighters had previously been in entertaining fights. It was indeed competitive (despite the putrid scorecards), but that was a god awful styles clash.

So, I'd say the CBS card exceeded expectations, and the Showtime card was a mixed bag. PBC (and other networks) have put out worse.

Hopefully, they'll put out a consistently good product next time, though.
