I haven't met many. A few from when I trained and sparred back in the 80's. Tim Broady was very nice, he was a light-heavy contenderish type then.

Leo Randolph too, was really great. Very nice to us no-hopers.

On the money with Cooper, met him several times at many a function, he was shy and unassuming, and modest to a T, and down played his victory's , another british fighter with whom I have had a few chats with is Mark Rowe, a quieter and polite man you couldn't wish to meet, which belies his fighting style, funny how the aggressive brawlers, normally turn out to be the opposite in real life.
    stay safe guys.

Floyd Patterson. Cannot imagine him ever being anything but the most polite of gentleman outside the ring.

We're something to build a record off of perhaps.

But no, they are usually nice people.

I usually looked lacking when I've sparred with anyone with any class.
I knew I was never "going to be a contender"
I certainly wasn't "another Billy Conn"

The Hatton's are all very nice fellas. Matthew especially, couldn't ask to meet a nicer guy.

Michael Brodie was a very inspiring man to talk to. Very polite and didn't mind answering questions. He was quite flattered by how much I know of his career given my age, actually.

Lyndon Arthur was also very nice to his fans, although I got the feeling it was more out of gratitude than it was being a genuinely kind, caring soul.

the 5 young fighters that were supposed to turn Pro with them, during the end of Ricky's career, might tell you different. Now there was a lot of internal problems at the time, fair enough. But those young lads gave their heart & soul only to be repeatedly knocked back or delayed from getting their own hopes under way.

Living in digs, working to pay bills and train fulltime, well that's not on.

Going off the fighters I’ve met, I’d say most are really nice. Felix Trinidad is about as nice a person as you could hope to meet. I wish I’d have met Arguello as I’ve only heard great things.

Danny Lopez is a total gentleman too. Zárate, Olivares, Michael Spinks, Israel Vazquez really nice too. Carlos Ortiz and Eder Jofre were very nice. In Jofre’s case, about as selfless a person as one could be too. Jeff Chandler is a really nice, jolly guy. I really like him.
