    thats the skill part realy if you cant appreciate that
    watch 2 drunks fight you will see a knockout,

    in no ****ing boxing gym are they going to encourage you to stand and take punches and judges arent going to score that as bravery

    and when manny blocks a punch or moves his head? is he a coward? is he not doing the same thing floyd is doing,
    just hes not as good at it as floyd

    HIT and not get hit. Otherwise the referee is the best man in the ring in most cases.

    When little kids walk in a gym they are normally taught stance, a little bit of footwork (not to cross your feet or stand square) some defence (catching shots and countering) the jab and straight right hand.

    Basic drills.

    Most wouldn't and shouldn't be allowed to spar if they haven't got a grasp on those things.

    I can't imagine a kid walking in a gym and a trainer saying " right son, here's a DVD, go home watch this fight between Gatti and Ward because that's what I want to see".
