You say you've been following him for years now, yet aren't you aware Gamboa is locked up for two more years w/ TR?

What you don't realize is, this fight was a step in that direction for Gamboa. This would have been a huge win and would lead to bigger and better.

And if Gamboa somehow leaves TR, he'll be a GBP fighter, not Mayweather's. He doesn't have a promoters license.

Dont you think If Rios would have had a better following because he was Mexican American, Then in that case they should have without a doubt awarded the pac vs jmm fight to Marquez? this would mean marquez is mexican himself and would have the "greater" fan base as would Rios meaning it would have been the same thing but as we can see the outcome is different. :think

gamboa can buy himself out of the contract, just like mayweather did. as of now mayweather hasn't got a promoters license but it wouldn't take long for him to get that.

i wanted to see the fight happen, but i knew just like i knew when marquez got in the ring with pacquiao, that unless rios left the ring on a stretcher gamboa wasn't leaving with the W.

with gamboa moving to golden boy or mayweather promotions whichever it turns out to be he'll get the fights knowing he's getting a fair shot, 6 to 12 months down the line gamboa vs broner at 130 is a huge fight, gamboa vs guerrero at 135 is a great fight, gamboa vs morales/garcia/khan at 140 are possibly huge ppv fights.

golden boy are making the big fights happen, we've got molina vs kirkland and garcia vs morales in 2 weeks, top rank aint doing ****.

who's top ranks megastar marquez or pacquiao? they would never allow a 38 year old marquez with whom they can't make huge fights with win against their only cash cow at this time. like arum the scum said to marquez after the fight, "this is busines", same **** would have happened to gamboa.

What makes you so sure Gamboa's contract with TR has a buyout clause? Have you seen it?

I don't know aside from the age it seems Marquez would fit that huge fan base more so than Pacquiao, (At that time that is since know Pac fan base has spread) It would have been a Decision win for Marquez since Arum is Portrayed as this Theatrical Evil Genius Setting up traps for Big money then it would seem to be up his sleeves to have Marquez take it have a few more money fights and have Pac come back to Avenge his lose and stop / Beat Marquez in convincing Fashion, that actually wouldnt of hurt Any of there Pockets especially an old Marquez, but Marquez Being my Fav MEX fighter i don't think he'd be down for it.

But im just saying this 38 year old guy like you say is still banging with the young boys and doing it pretty good so what i said wouldnt be that impossible...

Any fighter can buy themselves out of a contract even if there isn't a buyout clause, a figure just has to be negotiated.

Just sent an e-mail to ticketmaster for a refund, hopefully I get it. Regardless if this fight does go through, **** it. Seriously **** Gamboa I hope he gets brutally knocked the **** out Williams style and doesn't get up.

Meanwhile we have Lopez (who i despised before) giving us FOTY and this ***** giving head to mayweather when he should be with his fans. I will never watch a gamboa fight again, nor a single dollar of mine will go to him. There's wayyyy too many fighters out there who are deserving.

Rios made a fan outta me, use to hate his ass but at least he's a man.

If Marquez got the decision against pacquiao I think he would have retired knowing his legacy was complete. He doesn't seem to be a fighter who is motivated by money and the way he comes across as a family man on 24/7 shows that boxing isn't everything to him unlike some fighters who find it too hard to walk away from the sport.

If TR won't allow the buyout, there will be no buyout. In your scenario, TR will just set a buyout price beyond Gamboa can afford.
