The worst thing about the sitiation is that this fight will never be made now. With Gamboa turning his back on TR, he'll also have ****ed up all chances of fighting the other exciting featherweights that are with with TR.

A shame.

 

I just hope we dont see Gamboa in limbo with TR.

Hey, I am also " dissapointed " that this fight didn't take place and by Gamboa not showing up to their press conference in both Miami and LA as he could had said something, specially to the Cuban boxing community. I was also very anxious to see Gamboa vs Rios and I know for a fact that Gamboa was going to school him. But there are many things that me and you don't know about what really happened behind the scenes, so instead of dissing and insulting Gamboa is better to give him time and see what happens.

I am sure that he is going to make it up in the future by taking on boxing's best, and winning.

 

They all just generally seem to mistrust the Mayweathers from what I can tell.

Gamboa is a great fighter, but this duckin **** has got to stop.

Mr. Öner is quite an interesting character ... but as a promoter he is not that successful as he thought he could be. After a good start in Germany when he was backed by resourceful people, his promotional company has disappeared from the German market. His lonely success has been promoting Yuriorkis Gamboa, and some rare events in Turkey.
As for Gamboa, with the passing years, and with more experience and probably under the pressure of increasing personal expenses, he has opened his eyes, and started to think, why he has to carry the Turk on his backthe hole way (I would not be surprise if Öner is putting much more money in his own pocket as compared to what Gamboa is receiving).
Thus very good step for Gamboa, and hope that at the end the cyclone will get the better terms he deserves.

 

Unless Gamboa gets to him first. That fight comes down to who could get to who first.

Ponce did a lot better against Broner than Gamboa, as a matter of fact PDL should of got the win. Broner is a punk, dancing around like a minstral against a little Eloy Perez.

I would like to see him try that against Gamboa.

As far as the whole Gamboa situation I don't know what's going on. I was very dissapointed with the Cuban, but at the same time I like to see fighter tell Arum to go screw themselves. But Yuri might of had screwed himself in this one by not going about it in a better way.

He should of at least let his fans know ahead of time that he wasn't going to show up and give some reasoning.
