I'd like to put myself up for that....

there's no way... literally no way that Mayweather loses....

I've looked at it from every perspective.... and it's gonna be a shut-out.... 12round UD....

It will be tough for him to get that many because he is going to stop mayweather in 6 rounds or less.

I've told my casual boxing friends who ask "how can you be so sure?" .... "If Mayweather loses, it will challenge everything I know about boxing and all the matches I have watched over the last 30 years." It'd have to be a huge, fight changing type of punch with Pac going in to finish Mayweather. I don't see it happening. That's the only way he loses. (Getting caught cold like Tarver caught Jones, and even then, I feel Floyd is more durable. 1 punch isn't going to be enough)

The "puncher's chance" against a great defensive fighter is like having no chance in my view. I never would bet money on a puncher's chance, that's for darn sure. And even more so if that puncher is going against an excellent defensive fighter with a proven chin.

pacquiao ain't knocked out anyone other than hatton with one-punch in over a decade...

and that's the thing, he's not a one-punch ko artist....

sure he can hurt mayweather.... but maidana, mosley, corley, judah all hurt mayweather.... pacquiao's no more capable of stopping mayweather than they were....

he couldn't get algieri out of there and he had him down 6 times....

and in saying that, mayweather's never touched the canvas.... so even a knockdown would be shocking - it might make the scores closer.... but pacquiao winning? no chance....

pacquiao's never fought a sniper.... his first time... he'll be shocked when he discovers what's in front of him....

guys like algieri are bad imitations of that style.... they're legitimate runners.... and pacquiao thinks that what mayweather is.... but he's far from that.... mayweather will find his range.... and when he does....

it's gonna be death by a 1000 right hands.... something like what he did to gatti (no, i'm not comparing pacquiao to gatti)... when he doubles/tripled up on straight rights....

pacquiao can't fight moving back... it's gonna be a horror show...

and seriously.... i'll predict a ko after the weigh in....

cos if manny comes in below 145.... he's getting KO'd....

if he comes in at 147.... it will be 12 rounds.... but anything under 145..... he's a deadman....

the only reason floyd ain't been stopping opponents, is because they're all 16-20 pounds heavier.... it's physics.....

If he uses ODLH game-plan, I could see around 565. If he's planning to throw a ton and be incredibly activity, I could see 700-800.

I agree with you. Like I said: I don't see it happening. But that is the only way I can see Floyd losing, is from a big punch and somehow Pac follows it up. But Floyd isn't Roy as I mentioned, appears to have a solid chin and is better defensively.

Floyd sure as heck isn't going to be out-boxed over 12 rounds.

Smart money says the fight goes 12 rounds. In which case, smart money is Floyd wins a UD.

I'm not sure I've ever seen him throw less than 500. Even against Marquez fighting passively and vs Bradley fighting only the last minute of each round he avg about 550-600 punches. Floyd will use more lateral than Marquez but he will also land cleaner and he's much faster and bigger, so I think this will discourage Pac a lot, but ultimately I see Pac throwing at least about 530-580, thats just a low avg welterweight throw attempt rate actually.

    floyd's not drained though....

and against boxers he always throws around 500..... he's not as capable of getting off.

    Marquez- 639
    Marquez 2- 619
    ODLH- 585
    Clottey- 1231
    Cotto- 780
    Mosley- 727
    Margarito- 1069
    Marquez 3- 578
    Bradley 1- 751
Marquez 4- KO, on track for 600
    Rios- 790
    Bradley 2- 563
    Algieri- 669

It's not like Pacquiao is ever averaged 1,000 or even 800 punches. 1,000 punches are outliers. He's more or less always been around the 600-750 area. I don't think his change in punch output since the KO is really that significant.

Being it the fight of his life, he could definitely throw 800, which he may. You can gauruntee mid-600 though.

I'm expecting about 550 punches thrown from Pac. Just IMO. If I was "betting money" on that call, that'd be a number I'd pick. I don't think Floyd will allow the pace for 600+ punches.
