Because it's still possible to raise your hands with a torn shoulder?!

Not to mention there was zero work done on it before, during, or after the fight. Nothing in the corner between any rounds, no questions from Freddie about how it felt etc. People point to the surgery as proof of Pac's claims, but this is easily countered by the admission that this was a long standing injury.

It clearly wasn't bad enough to prevent him from fighting prior matches, so he kept putting it off. Now with the biggest fight of your life over with, might as well finally get that surgery and hey, works as an excuse too. Pac historically doesn't accept defeat too well (socks, blood etc).

Far fetched? Maybe, but I'd say it's more grounded in reality than what Team Pacquiao has been putting out.

Bold is completely ignoring the fact that the drug requested, Toradol, is used in perfectly healthy athletes as a "pep drug." NFL players are quoted saying that it makes you feel like "Superman for 3-4 hours" and that you can "suffer a concussion in a game and not even know it."

The USADA was arguing that Toradol isn't on the banned substance list. Which it isn't. That still does not mean the NSAC did not have good reason to raise a red flag over the request given the immediate performance boosting affects of Toradol. If Manny gets a shot of Toradol, what does Mayweather get to boost his performance? If you say "it's just an anti-inflammatory drug," then I know you can't be taken seriously. There are countless articles out there about Toradol abuse in professional sports. Yes, there are calls to have it banned completely.

I also find it hilarious that people like you don't question why they didn't get anything else that would be allowed besides Toradol. It HAD to be Toradol. Why? Manny can't take Advil? They were trying to get a competitive advantage, plain and simple. Which is why they haven't said a peep about Manny taking anything else. Because they didn't want anything else, they WANTED TORADOL.

It wasn't just Toradol. It was a ****tail shot which actually included three different types of numbing agents. Once again, we don't understand the drug enough, but if USADA approved Pacquiao's usage of it then it should be good.

I don't think advil would be enough to numb the pain when you're throwing 800 pounds of force into an object with a torn cuff.

They requested the equivalent of a pep drug man. Deal with reality. That's why it was denied.

If he had a torn cuff going into the fight, too bad. Don't fight injured. So are you saying we should just jack up injured boxers on pain medication and send them out to fight? Very barbaric of you.

It's a "sport." If you're injured, say so, get your treatment, and come back when you're healthy.

No. Nevada State Athletic Commission stated they did not know anything about the injury UNTIL 90 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIGHT.

You guys are seriously making stuff up. It shows none of you do actual research and only listen to the idiotic statements being continuously vomited on this form.

"But Pacquiao's camp was told by his orthopedist that he could take the injection if he wanted, and USADA approved the in-competition use of the remedy in a document.

The problem was that USADA never shared its approval with the state commission, Chairman Francisco Aguilar said Sunday, and when Pacquiao's camp told the commission it wanted the fighter to take the injection at 6:08 p.m. on fight night, the request was rejected."

    - Los Angelos Times

The problem was never with the drug. It was the nondisclosure of the injury. The drug being the issue hasn't even been a remote possibility.
