    I gotta go with Mexico.

    BUT..... with one exception.

When Miguel Cotto fights, I gotta root for him regardless if its a Mexico vs PR matchup or not.

However, 99% of the time im with Mexico, and the upcoming Marquez vs Juanma is no exception.

Looks like Chavez Jr. vs Cotto is going down Dec. 4th. What you guys think? Will Chavez jr get respect if he is able to beat Cotto? or is this a fight where Arum is using Cotto as a stepping stone to get Chavez jr more recognition, and Chavez jr is expected to win?

I know Cottos best days are behind him and he's a little guy at 154, but his boxing skills and ring intelligence still makes him very dangerous for a fighter of Chavez jr level. I think for Jr to pull out a good win he will really have to listen and apply Roach's instructions.

Against a prime Cotto Jr would get killed by body shots within three rounds, but against this Cotto, he does have a chance.

I got to go for Cotto. I don't think Chavez J.r has what it takes to beat Cotto right now. It would be nice to see Cotto get a decisive win against a name fighter..in Mexico anyways.

There are only 2 ways Chavez Jr wins this fight.. 1-Cotto is shot 2- Arum fixed the fight.
Otherwise Cotto will take this kid to school.Roundtrip.

That's the same thing they said about the Margarito-Cotto fight...well almost.

I think you can beat Cotto in many ways. You can "Out-Gun" him, you can "Out-box" him, and you can "Out-last" him.

Cotto gets tired from round 9 on. His chin is also suspect as he has been hurt several times, and by B level fighters.

the thing is the same **** was said about margarito...
do you have any clue how much money i won from that fight from people that "think" and "thought" they knew boxing......

i love cotto bro, i've watched him since his debut on espn and i've studied him really closely....there was a huge reason why back then as a fan i wanted him in there with floyd and not margarito.....chavez and margarito aint bums, but they aint no masterful boxers either.....they possoss something that you can't teach in the gym and that's toughness, pressure and decent power with good chins.......now, you have someone like cotto who is pretty small for a welter, fighting someone who is huge for a light middle and you have yourself a real fight there.....but not just on size alone, you gotta look at chavez' weapons....and one of them is his monster right hand that cotto took flush time and time again from foreman, mosley and many other fighters.....sure they're a lot quicker then chavez, but my question is this..what's cotto gonna do when he can't ko chavez jr and the rounds start seeming like days and the blood starts pouring, lungs exhausted etc etc......cotto has the heart and mind of a warrior, but for some reason the "physical" side of his game has let him down when it's mattered the most......and if chavez can bang with him on the inside while keeping cotto moving a lot, you best believe cotto will get tired (especially at a higher weight with a bigger puncher), start back peddling and eventually get stopped or lose a decision......cottos best chance is to take him out early, but we already know how hard that's gonna be.......

and plus, chavez jr aint even that bad of a fighter, i dont even know why people scratch him off right away...there has been wayyyyyyyyy lesser champs like baldomir, and many more....**** even k-9 just became a title holder and i bet nobody saw that coming.....

Chavez is still very ****ing young...and no am experience.

I don't expect Jr. to be an ATG, but I can see him being a top 5 Jr MW picking up a strap along the way.
