I was hoping for Cintron to do great against Canelo.

With only 6% the population of Mexico, PR is not doing too badly and the cycle will change in the years to come. Cotto getting old new blood will arrive on the scene.

 

Not to mention unlike Mexico, PRs don't really fight at the lighter weights too often. If you look at most of the lighter divisions, it is stacked with no name Mexicans who happen to weigh 105 lbs.
