GGG's not a household name, but he's getting there. these things don't happen overnight, or due to one fight. not even for Americans.

This is by far the worst post I've came across. How am I trolling? "No real ATG lets Haye finish on his feet". What the **** does that mean? I can guarantee you that on every great resume in HW history there is someone who went the full 12/15 rounds with an ATG who is worse then Haye. Hell, I bet I could name 5.

"Carl Froch is incredibly liked in America". This isn't even trying to degrade Carl Froch but I can guarantee you nobody knows who the **** he is. I don't blame him though, he hasn't even fought in the US 5x but you using it as some counterargument was probably the worst attempt at making an argument ever.

Jeff's main point is, Froch, despite being from the UK, has a decent following due to his style of fight, while Wlad's safety first style doesn't attract the casual fans. At least that's what I think jeff means.

I'm saying that barely anyone even on an extremely hardcore boxing website knew who he was before fighting in the US. He fights here and boom, he gets a fanbase. He deserved it too, but let's say he decided to stay and try to flourish in Germany on their TV networks. Extreme boxing fans would get to know who he is because he'll fight good talent on TV but I know he wouldn't get the love he is getting now.

I know that people can say "Well, listen just look at GGG's style and his potential" but if anything on these forums even if you're that good you'll just have the detractors that will literally pinpoint any negative and use it against the guy.

That is exactly what I mean.

Americans will watch Froch vs. Kessler II no matter where it takes place because Froch is entertaining.

We won't watch Wlad paw and grab the **** out of his next opponent even if it is on free TV because it will not be entertaining.

Yes, fighting in America helped Kessler and Froch gain an audience here. They won that audience, though. The Klits have fought here. Vitali won an audience, Wlad didn't.

Americans will watch Forch vs Kesller II? How many, 800?? :patsch I guarantee Wlad will have more viewers from America for his next fight than Froch does for his. It wont even be close. You are making no sense

Wlad's next fight won't even be televised here. His last few weren't.

Kessler vs. Froch will be aired on Showtime, I'd imagine.

A few hard core fans finding a stream on the internet doesn't mean the fight is aired, either.

I really don't doubt that guys are extremely entertaining and can sell fights based upon that. Also, boxing is a sport. The point of sports is to win, that's the bottom line. The fact is that when people go and watch sports they want to see the best fight each other. Basically, the sport sells by itself. That's what wins the audience the most. Wlad has enough money and sold out arenas to show that. Anyway, I really doubt Wlad would have trouble selling a fight in the US. He could sell out MSG right now if he wanted to but he doesn't fight in the US because Germany is just better for money. Even Vitali with great events and showings just went back to Germany because more money was guaranteed. It wasn't because they lost an audience.

I just like boxing and I could watch any match with any style and not worry. Just like most people who watch boxing and every single sport, I prefer to see the best. With that boxers should have every right to do what they want. I don't get criticizing a guy who got KO'd 3 times for changing his style and then still hasn't even touched the canvas since.

    I like the Mayweather reference.

Wlad used to fight in the states a lot before he adopted that boring ass style of his and the Americans enjoyed it. They enjoyed the Mc cline and mercer fights and other fights , when Wlad was agressive , not holding back all the time and no back leaning and hugging.

When Wlad fought Mc Cline Floyd fought Castillio on Wlads undercard !!

Switch to today and Floyd is the cash cow, Wlad doesnt make money the heavys made 20 years ago and Wlad wouldnt even be accepted on the main network anymore.

That Steward style has pro longed his career, it has also harmed him.

Wlad is banned from MSG and HBO. He will never fight in the US again. His fights aren't on any major networks outside of Germany because nobody is interested.
When the HW champ cant generate global interest , its clear hes doing everything wrong.

They are boring plain and simple.. I dont want to see a bigger fighter practically making their opponent blow them for 12 rounds by leaning on them and hitting on the break. They're crap why doesnt a major network not want to air their fights?

A little while back HBO said they would no longer televise any HW fights, or even K Bro fights. When was the last time either guy was on HBO? Anyone? :huh
