Couse the Polish PZPN who controls Polish football didn't give him a look. So Podolski went to Germany. However, Klose was asked to the Polish squad, he chose the German one instead. Engel i think went over and asked Klsoe to play for Poland, and he declined. Both of his parents however played for the Natinal Team of Poland in other sports like Handball and what not. His name used to be Miroslaw Klos. But you know how it works in Germany..... Podolski didn't change his name however, he somewhat has some respect for Poland.
As much as Jersey sucks, at least events like these & others are at your finger tips. 1st 90 degree day here (& humid) which is not fun, but it should be cooler at the shore. I'm all excited about seeing KP again & excited for my wife who's seeing him for the 1st time. Just think, in a few weeks, ADAMEK on FNF's!!!!!!!!!:bbb
Podolski is.......heartbreaking. Did anyone see him with the Polish jersey after the game, following his two goals? Talk about bitter stuff. The fact is that 2 of Germany's 3 best players are born in Poland and have mixed German-Polish roots. Poland should have thrown everything they had to get them on the squad. Instead you get doofuses, like ex-coach Pawel Janas claiming this: "In late 2003 after couple of impressive performances in his first few Bundesliga games, Polish media suggested then-Polish national team coach Paweł Janas to check Podolski out, as he was still eligible to play for Poland. Janas ignored the request stating in one of the press interviews that "as for today we have much better strikers in Poland and I don't see a reason to call up a player just because he played one or two good matches in the Bundesliga. He's not even a regular starter at his club." source: wikipedia. Better strikers my ass. If Janas did his homework he would have known that Podolski was already considered a soccer prodigy when he was 18. People like Janas should lose their citizenships for incompetance. P.S. On the bright side, Robert Kubica just won his first ever F1 race and becomes the first Pole ever to do so. Kubica is now the leader in points in overall driver standings. Outside of Hamilton, he is in my opinion, the second fastest driver on the circuit. Remarkable achievement, considering that its only his 2nd season and that BMW Sauber is really a slightly inferior car, to both McLaren and Ferrari.
Yea.. its pretty weird. So personally I have very little respect for him. In interviews he says he speaks Polish, has a Polish girl, listens to Polish music, doesn't sing the German national anthem before the games, that his heart beats for Poland.......please. Just shut the **** up, and play for Germany...the country you chose ahead of Poland and our biggest ever rivals. That ****er. Did you see his interview after the game? Sure, but I wouldn't put the FULL blaim on him tho. PZPN is just ******ed. But Podolski would've gotten his chance eventually, being Polish Football is somewhat poor. Word! Thats what im talking about. Im not so much into F1 as I used to be but its cool seeing Kubica make somthing. Also, Tomasz Adamek : Crusierweight Glory video will be released today. 8)
