Damn, that was a hell of a fight. Proksa I think even got cracked a few times there. Fought a brawler, seemed that isnt the type of fight Proksa likes, esp with all the holding Jones was doing.

Proksa displayed some very nice defensive skills.

    Horrible refereeing.

Is that normal for a corner to throw in the towel and the ref to just throw it back out?

    Thanks for link.

Kolodziej looked absolutely terrible to me in that fight. He was slow, couldn't finish his opponent and most importantly he just doesn't think in the ring. He needs to improve drastically to amount to anything.

The same thing happened during Katsidis-Earl fight which also took place in the UK.

Never seen him actually fight before.

Was that an off performance or do you know if thats typical of him?

Wierd if you ask me. If the corner is throwing in the towel I think the ref should have no right to have the fight continue. Both parties are responsible for the fighter, and either should be able to make the call.

IMO Proksa's worst performance to date.

For whatever reason he decided to become a slugger in this one and was hunting for the 1 punch KO.

I hope he doesnt continue to fight like that as his Boxing skills are supreme.

Anyone else notice that he threw next to no body shots(which is one of his best attributes)(bodypunching).

Maybe the game plan was to try & get him out of there. Test his power & see how the hands feel banging away at the dudes skull. Since it didn't work out as planned, they'll take a close look at the results & hopefully make the correct decision on which future path to take.

Good fight but Proksa needs to stick to boxing, he's got skills but few have Adamek like hear and toughness.

I'm still sad that Masternak went to Cruiser, he was built for 175, at 200 he is too small IMO.

Havent seen all Proksa fights but it did seem like he had a hard night.

I think what happened is Proksa got pulled into fighting Jones's fight. Lots of clinching and inside fighting, and Proksa allowed it to happen.

He did show some very nice skills with his head movement though, when he put his hands down and was dodging those punches. Very impressive, although a little foolish on his side.

I think he just fought an opponent with a different style then previous opponents and got pulled into fighting his fight.

I have almost all of his fights except for the Macovei one so i know his style very well.He has boxed 10x better than that in the past.

As someone mentioned though maybe he was testing his reapaired hand/s.

There are other safer ways of testing repaired hands though, instead of risking potentially losing a fight, as well as throwing a fight away to test hands instead of polish up technique.

Either way it was a different fight then usual, and will most definently go down as experience under his belt, and hopefully learn something from it and do better next time. He got cracked a bit more then I would have liked to see, especially from that quality of an opponent.
