Anybody watch the Wilczewski interview at the airport after the fight on bokser?

Guy sounds like he has braindamage. Unless thats just how he always talks.. Only time I heard him.

Anybody have the Adamek Gunn fight? Still havent seen it, been away for the past 7 days.

Good on Bienias that he managed to get him out. Wonder what the score cards looked like. Italy goes down with Germany as far as bull**** goes in boxing. They are head to head for the #1 position where you are most likely to get bull**** decisions, and robberies.

Just watched Adamek.

I don't know if it was just the contrast between Adamek and Gunn - but Adamek I think seemed faster then in the past. Anybody else notice this?

He always throws fast combos on shorter opponents. He has also unleashes uppercuts that are nice but seldom seen.

I know Adamek was always pretty quick, but he just seemed faster against Gunn.. maybe it was a bit that Gunn was just inactive, and much slower too. Saw some of the uppercuts in the Gunn fight.

Saw parts of the Cunningham fight as well.. And it seems he pretty much fought the way he usually fights. Wonder what he was talking about with the new and improved Cunningham.. seemed pretty much unchanged to me.

Adamek moving up to HW is all over the news.

If he does not get a fight against Hopkins, it is possible he will move to heavy by the fall.. a potential last fight at CW is not out of the question.

THIS SUCKS.

Majewski vs. Lockett Aug. 8
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ—Undefeated middleweight Patrick Majewski, of Somers Point, NJ, and Willis Lockett, of Takoma Park, MD, meet in a scheduled eight-round contest Saturday evening, Aug. 8, at Bally’s Atlantic City. First fight 7.30 p.m.

Topping the seven-bout card is a scheduled 10-round contest for the North American Boxing Association (NABA) welterweight title between champion Mike Jones, of North Philadelphia, and Larry Mosley, of Los Angeles, CA.

Majewski, 29, is originally from Radom, Poland. He has a pro record of 11-0, 7 K0s, including an impressive eight-round decision over previously unbeaten Latif Mundy, of Philadelphia, PA, in his last fight June 6 in the same ring.

Prior to beating Mundy, Majewski had scored a seventh-round knockout over James Lubash, of Pittsburgh, PA, on April 24 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Lockett brings a record of 12-8-5, 5 K0s. In his last fight he dropped an eight-round decision to former World Boxing Council middleweight champion Keith Holmes in Holmes’ Washington, DC, backyard.

After having weighed as much as 228 pounds for some fights, the 5-foot-9 Lockett now wants to campaign as a middleweight or super middleweight. He weighed 163 pounds against Holmes.

Lockett held unbeaten light-heavyweight Chuck Mussachio, of Wildwood, NJ, to a draw last year in Hockessin, DE, and he K0d former world-title challenger Larry Marks, of Wilmington, DE, earlier this year at Dover (DE) Downs. He has been stopped just once in 25 fights.

A pair of six-round fights feature junior welterweights Ronald Cruz, of Bethlehem, PA, against Julias Edmonds, of Philadelphia, PA, and junior middleweights Manuel Guzman, of Lancaster, PA, against Jamaal Davis, of Philadelphia, PA.
Three four-round bouts complete the card.

Tickets for the Aug. 8 card at Bally’s Atlantic City are priced at $75 and $50. They are on sale at the offices of Peltz Boxing (215-765-0922) and also can be purchased online at www.peltzboxing.com. Tickets also can be purchased through TicketMaster (800-745-3000) or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Damn not bad at all for a debut. We will see how he does. If it works out for him maybe Proksa needs to follow suit.
