ummm well the interview is really long lool... but for the most part he said that he doesnt have any interests in fighting Diablo or Dragon because they will benifit from him and he wont benifit from them. he said he needs to go "up the ladder, not down it" and then he goes on talking his usual Adamek talk.... lol sorry but Tomasz Adamek interviews are boring as fuk, lool. basically because he says the same damn thing every time I dont think i blame him tho cause of the dumb reporters asking him those questions in the first place. He said by Feb /March he will have a date in the Prudential center.
Who will Adamek fight in Feb, 12 round heavyweight bout? If he wants to get ranked for Haye's title, perhaps Holyfield or Toney would get him up the WBA ladder, as well as giving a little bit of name value to attract some decent TV coverage?
this Friday Rafal Jackiewicz v Delvin Rodrigouz Tomasz Hutkowski v Ismail Abdoul Diablo v some Bulgarian janitor
negotiations have been occuring with Hasim Rahmans team, although latest news indicates stalemate :fire
At first, he states that fights with Wlodarczyk or Sosnowski who are calling him out, do not make any career sense for him at this time. Then the really interesting parts: He says that HBO wants to set up a fight in either March or May against Arreola, Peter or Chagaev. However, there is also a strong push within HBO for a fight with Haye, sometmr in June. This would probably be most convinient for TA because he would be able to comfortably fit a fight that he wants in February with an opponent that the camp is now negotiating with (so thats why his name is not mentioned). He gives Haye credit for beating Valuev and says that in a fight with Haye they would both have very similar styles and whoever is faster and smarter will win. He believes that he will be that man. The interviewer asks him whether TA has become too confident of himself about how far he can go at HW. Adamek responds by saying that he is his old humble self, from a small village and that he will never change. However, if you're unsure about your abilities and what you're going to do in a fight, you better not step into the ring.
I think this is unconfirmed. Winning over Rahman would not do much anyways. Aside from a hail mary from Rahman, the fight would look alot like it did against Golota. Rahman is SLOW, out of shape and incredibly inaccurate these days. Tomasz should fight Chagaev or Povetkin to make a really big statement. I think Adamek is better than Povetkin in every single boxing attribute you can think of and there is no chance of being Ko'd by AP. Ranked or not ranked, HBO is already pushing for the Haye fight in mid 2010, so I believe they will want TA to take a safe but solid fight in FEB. I'm surprised Chambers' name hasn't been mentioned yet. At his best, Chambers would present a challange similar to Cunningham.
Thanks for all the translations...sounds like good stuff. Adamek has his sights set high & we can't complain about that. ((((((((((((ADAMEK...FUTURE HW CHAMP)))))))))))):happy February & then June. I wonder who it will be in February & will HBO show that fight, maybe to hint about the megafight with Haye in June?
Wlodarczyk didn't call Adamek out, the only Polish fighter who called Adamek out was Sosnowski. All Krzysiek said was that he was interested, he didnt "call him out" Also, cant wait to see how Diablo looks! Pretty pumped for this one, despite fighting a journeyman.... but when you look at it, he is due a gimme fight because he hasnt faught in a long while, even before the Fragomeni fight. This is Diablos last chance in my eyes, he needs to impress cause if he doesn't than its going to go downhill from here..... him drawing to Fragomeni was bad in itself, doesnt matter if he got robbed or if he didnt get robbed, he should of had Fragomeni on the canvas and sitting there. Diablo has some serious power in his fists, if you ever watch him hit the bag is pretty intense, i think he has even more power than Adamek does. But what use is that power if you dont know how to use it? Diablo needs better handlers, cause if he does one bad thing that i really dislike vs. this Journyman, than Diablo will just expose his weaknesses and pretty much ill give up on him cause its pointless. But gotta keep your head high !
I think Povetkin is potentially better, but Povetkin: doesn't have Adamek's peak fighting fitness, the momentum he takes from 1 fight to the next; doesn't have adamek's 2 world titles and world title experience. Povetkin is a much shorter & more compact puncher than Adamek, who can be gawky and awkward. But Adamek is very, very good - an elite fighter in my eyes. I think Adamek wants Haye's WBA title. Great if he's fighting in February and then June. So few top fighters keep busy these days. I believe his handlers Main Events built Holyfield into a heavyweight. They know what they are doing. Reckon Adamek lands a WBA eliminator fight late in the year. Probably vs a well connected Universum fighter like Chagaev or - I hope! - Boytsov.
So Rahman is out? Rahman would have brought size. He has a heavy jab. But he has become very slow and always has been very square. I believe Rahman would basically leave out that sow jab, hold Adamek and try to throw right hands to the body. Adamek would have been able to go side to side after throwing big combos. He'd have been too fluid & fast and it would probably have got like the Golota fight in the middle/late rounds. So, is Jason Estrada in? Is he the next opponent for Adamek - haven't Polish newspapers/websites been reporting he could be next? That could be interesting. We could compare Adamek to Povetkin due to common opponents. Adamek would have to be alert, to use feints and speed to open Estrada's tricky defense...
This content is protected This content is protected Krzysiek is in great shape!!!! his mid section looks a bit bigger than usual, but hes got a real good Cruiserweight body frame Diablo by KO in mid rounds! :bbb http://www.bokser.org/content/2009/11/26/183640/index.jsp
Diablo is lookin good, hopefully he will destroy this punk within 6. Not sure if i'll be able to catch the fights tonight. They start at around 10ish on Polsat I guess. Adamek is I guess going to fight another tomato can, all because these LAZY ASS American heavy weights supposivley can't get in shape for the Feb. date. Or they are just simply scared of facing Adamek. Apprently Rahman priced himself out of the fight. :tired
