God I love Naz, even when he got knocked down it was ****ing theatrical. Never understood why he didn't have the rematch after his comments though. Such a shame about the tail end of his career.

I happened to be one of a few boxing fans at my last command in the navy. You know how many of them even knew who Naseem was? Maybe 2 people. 2 people out of 160. The dude was never a big name, he was never on the level that people make him out to be. I know exactly how big fighters are, I've been a fan amongst non-fans all my life. They just barely learned who Mayweather was before the de la hoya fight. Casual fans have no ****ing clue who naseem was. I could put on my facebook right now "Prince naseem is coming out of retirement" and I bet you 1 person might go "really?" the rest would say "who the **** is that"
Casual fans do not know british fighters who came to the USA and got whipped aside from ricky hatton. Arguing this point with me is just ****ing stupid, because i've had to recognize how much people know and don't know for years. And I live in San Diego, so don't assume i'm around a bunch of bumpkins. You're all ****ing wrong. Get over it.

He had every tool in his armour. World Class without a doubt and could of been an ATG if he didnt let his fame and fortune get to his head. If Naz had of fort BArrera a couple of years earlier Naz wins and wins by knock out

I dont know about America but everyone in Britain knows him, a few girls I chatted to online from America knew him too at the time. Theres a reason he made nearly $100m

I don't know very many casual boxing fans who know who he is. I have a good readout on which boxers I can say their name and have anyone even know. As much as even Roy jones jr made, he still wasn't a gigantic name with casual people. His fights weren't big news. He was never on a big talk show. I see naseem even under him in recognition. Among more hardcore boxing fans, yeah, we all knew him. But I could poll 10 random people in a store right now and I bet not one knows who he is.

Nas was a flash in the pan. Once he found out how hard these latin fighers are in America he wanted no part of it.

Yeah, brilliant observation genius. He was barely ever recognizable in the U.S. His biggest fights were kevin kelly and barrera. 2 fights with only one of those guys even being a big name. You're ****ing dillusional if you think anyone outside avid boxing fans knew who he was. I won't argue the point anymore though, I'll let you kids live in your fantasy world where this guy was some big star.

Were they not sellouts? I think the sheer amount of money Naz made and the fact that there wasnt an empty seat in the arena demonstrates he must of been somewhat big in the states, if that wasnt the case surely the Kelley fight wouldnt have been a sellout and the Barrera fight wouldnt have been a sellout. Furthermore, u idiotic little ***** he fought Augie Sanchez in the states and it was a sellout.
