I'm still in complete shock from what I witnessed last night.

I never in my most outrageous thoughts could I foresee Khan taking those kind of shots from anyone, let alone such an aggressive puncher. It wasn't just the full blooded hooks he took in round 1, it wasn't just the uppercuts he took in succession, it wasn't even the onslaught of brutal bombs he repeatedly took in round 10 while he was almost out on his feet and knackered. For me, it was the way Khan tempestuously waved Maidana in, saying he could take more. He practically stood there and said to everyone watching: The Amir Khan you think I am is long gone and nobody is going to **** with me.

He WALKED through Maidana's best onslaughts and finished round 12 still putting combos together. It was the birth of the new Khan, let the doubters be silenced, this guy is for real. This fight was not vintage by any stretch of imagination but it proved one massive, massive point. He's not going to get steamrollered anymore. That's huge going forward from here.

A lot of work needed but let's save that for another time because last night was a special night. My sincere congratulations for a hugely entertaining performance showing massive balls of steels. I guess the most incredible thing I can say is that Khan showed immense toughness and a warrior mentality. In my mind, he jumped above Froch and Haye last night.

I thought I was watching a poor mans Pacman but I mean that in a good way. Khan is now using so many similar moves and even acting the same. Awesome.

Just think how many years it took for Roach to get Pac to where he is now.

Khan has only being with Roach for a year or two and has already improved so much. If he keeps working hard with Freddie he can get even better.

I take my hat off to Amir but he better not pull that again. He's proved his point. Cortez told him in the 10th that he can't continue to let him take shots. And between ref and Roach it might've stopped.

And how in the name of everything that's holy did he not protect himself from those uppercuts!!

I thought Khan (Rocky 3) was gonna tell Maidana (Clubber Lang) "you ain't so baaad!"

Fantastic fight. Foty contender in my book.

I was stunned and amazed by Khan on Saturday. Like so many have said including the commentators, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever see Khan in a fight like that. I was screaming at the TV in the 10th, ducking every punch, covering up like I was fighting. After it was done I was emotionally drained and I have always been indifferent to Khan, through the fight though I became a huge fan of his when he was putting his hands up saying I'm okay after each bomb Maidana landed I was shocked, cheering and in awe.

It wasn't the best technical perfomance I've ever seen, not even from Khan but he showed so much heart. He was a beaten bloody mess in the last two rounds, blood across his face and he was still throwing and arguably won the 11th round, throwing a fantastic uppercut during the course of it.

I'm now a Khan nuthugger and I can't wait for his next fight, bring on Alexander/Bradley winner. Long live the King!

The pacman hands in the air thing had me laughing, cos a couple of time he held them up and Maidana rushed him, and you could just see Khan was like "oh ****... INCOMING!!!"

I agree. Look at his face in the 10th when he's taking them shots. He's like "**** this, I'm taking these shots"

The smiling and hand raising got me excited. The first time I thought cheeky, maybe stupid, the second time, I thought I'm going to enjoy this. He even covers up and lets people bomb on him like Pac does. Needs to watch those uppercuts though. Other than that he is all over the place with his opponent struggling to get their timing or range. If Khan can get a little more power together then he'll close the show much more. Pac has scary power and guys usually shut up shop when he unleashes. Khan hasn't got the same potent power.
