OK! But Walter Mathysse is faster than Pavlik and has better boxing skills!!!!!

Pavlik can only be effective when an opponent is directly in front of him!!!!

Not strange at all... Everyone knows that pavlik can't box with Paul. His only hope is a puncher's chance. It may be a good chance, but we all know Pav has to have the KO.

It wont happen anyway NBA. Williams wants nothing to do with pavlik now. Goosen dropped him back down to 47 and is hushing up. That alone speaks volumes that even goosen knows that Williams wont be able to bang with a true 160lb'er. Hes looking out for his well being. Nothing wrong with that but dont think for a sec that paul wants pavlik after the beatdown he got from martinez.

It is true pavlik crushes him within 6. hes to big and to strong.

I am not even a Pavlik fan, but I can call a potential matchup pretty well.

You on the other hand are a despicable Paul Williams fanboy nuthugger judging your expletive-filled, moronic rant.:lol::rofl:rofl :patsch

I really hope Pavlik fights Williams in the near future so I can serve you up with a delicious platter of pwnage. You really are a complete nuthugging Prize Chump.:lol::rofl:rofl:rofl

Yes the scorecards were corrupt and a disgrace to boxing. Pierre Benoist scored it 119-110 for Williams, only giving Martinez one round out of 12.

That is a sham and anyone can't see that is living in cloud cuckoo land, and a full psychological assessment should be the order of the day.

there are so many things williams could do to make this fight not end with him being ko'd...but he doesnt do them. the man should be laying people out cold with that height and wingspan and reach. in fact with those attributes he should be one of the most notorious ko artists today.

    * he's going to need a strong jab to keep kelly off him and he doesnt have a good one...or at least doesnt use it and there is no reason why someone with his attributes shouldnt have a strong jab.

    * he doesnt do a good job at all of staying out of the range of smaller guys and kelly definetly aint gonna be smaller.

    * he doesnt use his height which will be a problem against kelly b/c williams won't be taller than him like he is against most every opponent of his.

    * he will sit in front of his guy and trade. for all his athletic gifts, he will sit there and go to war with his guy. he responds to adversity by turning up the volume. this is not advised to do against kelly at 160. for all of kelly's flaws he has made his name laying people out who will stand and trade with him.

    * he's not very accurate at all. kelly may not be throwing darts either but if you are gonna stand there and trade and turn the heat up when faced w/ adversity ^^^^ then you better be accurate. you stand in front of kelly and trade and let him get that right hand zeroed in your ****ed, especially if you arent landing more than williams usually does.

that's not to say williams can't change all this but i don't see it happening. how many of ya'll say kelly doesnt do well above 160 b/c what makes him good at 160 doesnt work at the higher weights?? well you can say the same thing about williams. what worked for him at 147 won't work at the higher weights for those reasons ^^^. he can smother his oponents at 147 with output and workrate w/o any regard for range and using his height, etc. aint gonna work at 160 against kelly.

46and0 is a **** posting alt account. if williams had a glass jaw he'd a been ko'd by now. he can take a punch and is willing to take a punch.

It is my firm belief that HBO pushed Williams into the fight and had to pony up more money to do so. He got his 'get out of jail card' (kelly's medical problems, and used it. Goosen is now making such unreal demands that I think even HBO will get the message. However, in the end, HBO may have a message of their own for Pdub.

Pretty much right on. Speed should translate into a harder punch but too many speed guys were ruined with their punching technique in the amateurs where they were focusing on scoring points. Now couple that with Pauls long reach in a division where he makes everyone else look like a midget and we see why he developed the punching technique he has. It is literally a 'shotgun' approach. Lots of little bb's out there. They may have more impact on the smaller opponents but the bigger guys are more like bee keepers who don't feel the bees sting after a while. This fight ain't hard to pick.

PAvlik is seen by me as a ***** who was scared of Abraham anyway. Now he's fighting bums and picking on small guys... Only PAv's fans love him, because boxing fans now know that Pav really can't fight.

    :rofl:rofl

    ok, ok,,

    1. Sergio wanted a re-match with paul---Paul went running.

    2. Pavlik calls out Paul now that he is healed and offers him a career high payday and a shot at the belts-----------Paul went running.

    3. Cintron has been waiting patiently to sign against paul and paul still hasnt signed nothing so you could say----Paul went running.

How on earth is he dethroning fighters if he wont fight them?:hi:

    Then you are underestimating Martinez.

Williams considering how action packed that fight was seemed to fight with impunity; if Martinez was a bigger puncher I'm certain that Williams would have relented and given him more respect but the fact that he was in a brawl with this guy suggests that he can handle Sergio's power.

Pavlik is different. He's slower but heavier handed. I'm no Freddie Roach here, but I know that Paul Williams is not going to fight him the same way he fought Martinez. He will steer clear of the power but keeping the fight on the outside and keeping Kelly busy. Pavlik lacks the handspeed and dynamic style of Sergio so he won't find the same openings.

I pick Paul Williams to win this.
