The purpose of the section is apparently to grade "BOXING'S ELITE":think

And so we have individual little reports on an "elite" fighters talent, achievement, marketability, support system and growth potential. :D

This all sounds very nice. :good

But can somone tell me why Amir Khan is on the list?:?

I mean Roy Jones is still there, but that guy has some history and so I can excuse that. But Khan????????? Makes no sense to me at all.:?

To be fair mate apart from your disdain for Khan ( He has massive exposure and is 'world champ' so I dont see the problem tbh) but I was gonna buy the ring as I haven't for a while. But while at WHSmiths I had a quick look through it and just threw it back down. It's **** really the Ring nowadays. Its just aimed at americans and idiots in general :good

I was a bit puzzled by Khan being there too. Maybe they just want to keep Brit readers happy. You'd think Bradley or Campbell would make better LWW choices. Oh well.

I'm probably the only boxing fan who has never even read, never mind bought, an issue of Ring.

Don't buy it myself. Not enough quality in it to make it worthwhile from the look of the few I've gotten a lend of.

Shame really because there is scope for a really top notch boxing magazine but Ring Magazine as a kind of strangehold on competition because its 'the name' in boxing magazines so that would probably stop anyone ever trying to get something new up and running.

Sure theres enough journalistic quality on this forum (from what I have seen from various parties over the course of posting and reading here) to put together a magazine alone.

I was going to start a site myself a while back but worked ****ed it up. I'd even asked Jeffro to give me a hand and write a few bits and pieces but his demands were ridiculous :deal

I always get it. It has better international reports then BM which never has reports of fights unless they are in UK or US and half of them are off the TV I think. I like the humour of their columnists too.

I can get over Khan being in the all star list. It's not a science, any more then their ratings are.
