Well Leonard isn't that far removed from peak. He was right in the middle of his peak when Norris beat him, and just at the tail of peak when Camacho stopped him. I'd say he's past peak but definitely still in the second half of his prime via the chook :rofl

I can't believe you two are even debating with that moron  You aint going to change his mind, ever. He's living in a coconut all by himself.

Present as many facts as you want, Rooster will respond with complete garbage as usual.

Keep the entertainment going nonetheless. :good

Come now JT, you know as well as I do that Greg Coverson was on his way to being the next Sugar Ray Leonard before the Hecsta caught up to him.

(Didn't Red literally say this once? LMFAO!)

He's good value, I agree. You two just ruffle his feathers to create it. :good

    Nothing like proving him wrong.

    Indeed he did

But Howard Davis's TKO (Camacho couldn't stop him) and total dominance of him two fights later didn't count for jack

Really can't see Camacho's pillow fists having taken much out of him

    :yep

Sorry, I was born in Alaska, where Greg started. A little bias, I agree. I still had him beating Camacho and Greg was a few years older.

Did you manage to catch Joe Manley vs. Howard Davis a year and a half before Hector got to him?

What were your thoughts on Joe's performance?

no wonder you're so partial to Greg. Too bad Greg had no talent. Greg could never have won that first fight without the point deductions and clearly lost the second match.

He arguably won the first fight, but no way he won the rematch. And Camacho wasnt in the best of shape in the first fight either. And age means little. The Camacho that fought Haugen had lost ALOT of speed from the 85 version of Camacho, whilst Haugen hadnt lost awhole lot from the version that beat Paz. The faster, sharper mid 80's Camacho would have beaten Haugen with relative ease.

Haugen was a good fighter, but simply not as good as Camacho. Some of the guys that Camacho beat(Rosario, Ramirez) would have destroyed Haugen, especially Rosario.
