That's pretty freakin' stupid of Khan when he already lost a point for that and was being warned again and again. There were no hard headbutts. Peterson leading with his head is so overblown.

it was legit because the ref kept warning Khan NOT to push off... Khan just refused to listen.

    I disagree.
By the time, the ref acted, Khan had pushed him away. So no need to separate at that POT.
Ref had made up his mind to deduct for pushing.

Indeed could have taken 2 pts for pushing and hiting on the break.

Or even 2 pts for continuing to commit the same infraction that he had already deducted a pt for.

That action is also well within the rules.

:think see that's how I saw it at first. It looked like he was taking a point away and then Khan hit him, but I think he was just going to separate them and maybe say something to Khan.
Once Khan hit Lamont, you could see the ref just get disgusted in his body language

You should stop trying to score boxing.

Yeah Joe Cortez warned Mayweather once and when he did, Floyd put his elbow down right away. I saw Floyd use it maybe twice.
Also in the Mosley fight, I can't remember exactly, but I'm sure he didn't use it nearly as much as Khan since Mosley wasn't all in Floyd's face the whole fight
Neither really did much that, but Lamont landed numerous clean body shots and Khan landed some flurries to Lamont's gloves. :conf

guy the 12th round could have gone either way. are you discounting lamonts body work? he pressed the action and dicated the pace. the bodywork of lamont was obviously good enough to push ahhir khan back. khan landed a lot of punches, some were block but lamont still imposed his will on khan. plus lamont landed a hard hook and right hand that rocked khan. its quality vs quantity. only the ringside judges can sense there. there are alot of intangibles you cannot pick up on tv.

I blame the horn blowers, how the hell can a ref think straight with all that idiotic horn blowing going on?

I agree that the second deduction was completely justified. At worst, he had been deducted once before for the infraction (and if that isn't a warning, I don't know what is), and at best, the ref stepped in to break the fighters and Khan nailed him with a punch after he'd stepped in. The first one was questionable IMO, but it is sort of cancelled out by Peterson's second slip in the first being called a KD.

I call bull**** cause its the final round. Let the fighters determine the winner. Ref should have stayed the **** out of it.
