I don't buy this argument. Boxing is complex sport. Each boxer has a style. You are not required to like ALL the styles no more so that you must love everything about your wife. You love certain aspects, you accept and understand others.

One can love boxing, follow its history, spend money following their favorite boxers, but one does not need to love EVERY style.

I enjoy PBF's style. But I don't love it. I understand it and have the utmost respect for it.

Also, being defensive technical boxer does not need to be a grab fest low work rate style. Pernell was a highly technical defensive master yet offensively active. Yes there are overlap between him and PBF but there was enough distiniction between the 2 offensive style that I found him more entertaining.

So basically, your argument is based on a false premise.

War type fights is what gets the casuals to love boxing, the next step is for them to appreciate chess match types and boxing clinics.

Just like MMA, War types are the ones that gather attention and then if they learn the sport more they'll appreciate grappling and wrestling.

There are exceptions of course, but generally.. This is whats happening.

The problem though is that many tagged Sweet Pea with the same 'boring' and 'too defensive' label during his career.

A knock out wasn't necessary the victory was. If Guerrero would of beat Floyd by decision, do you think people would of complain that he didn't KO Floyd? (NO) So why should it matter that Floyd didn't KO Guerrero?

You are entitled to your own opinion as I am of mine. I myself favor his style rather then getting pounded in the face for twelve rounds. It may seem, boring to some, but theres no skill in standing there and taking an ass whippen. If you have the ability to set yourself apart from your opponent, why not do it? Not only has it been shown the less punishment the longer you can sustain, but the less punishment the better off your be health wise, while in retirement, when the crowd is no longer calling your name.

Are you serious ******? You do realize Dana White loses sleep at night trying to appeal to Mexico, yes?

That's why he milks the **** out of Cain Velasquez's ethnicity and why he hyped Roger Huerta up so much. Why do you think the UFC has yet to hold an event in Mexico.

Seriously, **** off you backwards asinine stupid mongrel.

How is Floyd boring isnt it on Guerrero to make it interesting

If the Ravens D shuts down a teams O isnt it on that team to adjust and move the chains and get in the end zone

if floyd boxes great lands at will and defends perfect how is he boring, isnt it Roberts fault not being able to make the fight interesting

i don't think people would be badmouthing floyd's performance if he was fighting somebody that poses a legit threat.

it was a mismatch and floydie as usual, played it safe.

Straight right hand, rinse and repeat. 0 combos, 0 hooks, 0 variation, absolutely nothing but straight righr hand. Great performance as far as being extremely dominant, but only a fan of Mayweather that wanrs him to win no matter what will find it entertaining.
