I will post my top 10 list. To me, the only one that's not fully proven is Direll, who could become top 5 some day. As for Froch, the only reason I include him is because he holds a belt for now.

    01) Kessler
    02) Bute
    03) Andrade
    04) Taylor
    05) Bika
    06) Balzsay
    07) Inkin
    08) Dirrell
    09) Froch
    10) Green

In order to keep his #1 rank, MK has to fight a meaningfull opponent soon, otherwise, I will send him down on my list. I want to see Bute vs Kessler ASAP.
Even if Andrade has improved is skill set lately, Bute will have a much easier fight the second time around, without clinching. Because that's how he lost all his energy in the first bout. So, when that is clear, bring on Kessler and find out who deserve the #1 seat.

    1. Winner of Taylor/Froch
    2. Kessler
    3. Bute
    4. Andrade
    5. Loser of Taylor Froch
    6. Balszay
    7. Bika
    8. Green
    9. Pascal
    10. Direll

I'm assuming a decent performance minimum from both fighters for Taylor Froch. This changes if one/both look like ****.

    06 : Tsypko
    07 : Taylor - Froch loser

The most impressive thing about Tsypko in the Andrade fight, was that he made it through the full 12 rounds. True he showed a lot af heart. But other than that he pretty much losed 10 rounds against a fighter with below average defense.
He should not be in the top ten based on the andrade fight.

Would anybody argue a case for Froch being #1? I'm not saying I necessarily have him #1, but on the basis that a win over Taylor is far better than any win Kessler or Bute have on there resumes.

I suppose it depends what you rate more highly, resume or H2H ability.

Well it can be talked about tommy IMO. Taylor really is MUCH better win than anyone in Kessler resume. Thou Kessler have more "decent" names..:think

Kessler is my favourite 168 but I think he is starting to be virtual king actualy not proving himself to be...

I think you could make a case for Kessler, Bute or Froch to be seen as the no 1 at the weight just now.

Kessler because he has the best overall resume; Froch because he has the biggest win of any of the three, and Bute because his overall competition in the last couple of years has probably been the best.

I agree. I think Kessler probably should be the #1 on virtue of talent and ability, he has great potential. But really this whole contract dispute is pissing me off because I want to see him in the ring, he could be in some great match-ups. There's plenty of options, Pavlik, Froch, Bute, Hopkins etc.

No, even if Froch's best win is arguably slightly better than Kessler's best, you have to consider the manner of the win, which was far from impressive and can be considered lucky. Add to that that Kessler's resume is deeper, he has fought and beaten overall better competition and he is of course the obviously superior fighter. It would be an abomination to put Froch above Kessler.
