Fair assessment. However, when you go from being regarded as one of the best fighters in the sport to almost non-competitive for three straight fights, I would refer to that as being "exposed," at least as a non-viable SMW.

i don't think he's been exposed tbh I never thought he was some kind of unbeatable force.

Honestly, it's time for PAvlik vs Abraham

That I agree with. Like a few other have said, I give him credit just for leaving Middleweight to take on the challenge. he could have stayed down there undefeated and tried to set up that Pavlik fight, which was very winnable for him. He might still be champion today.

Completely disagree with this, my friend.

Abraham is a smaller man who moved up and fought the best guys at a division he had no prior experience campaigning at. Pavlik was not undersized against the 44 year old version of Hopkins he was outclassed by. Pavlik was also much bigger than the JMW who turned him into a bloody mess (Martinez).

To me, it was only a matter of time before a guy with some solid fundamentals and discipline would box the crap out of AA, even at 160. AA met 3 guys who could do that in the Super Six.

If Abraham hasn't been exposed then there's no such thing as getting exposed.

He has been exposed in my eyes because I had him pegged as a smarter fighter than he's actually turned out to be. He doesn't set the traps he needs to in order to work with that style, and that's become much more glaring as he faces guys with physical advantages over him. His countering ability looks like it's been really neglected.

He needed to alter himself and grow from what worked at 160 to have continued success at 168. If anything, it looks like his gameplanning has become lazier with the move up instead. Not a good recipe for success. And he's delusional enough to not see the problem, which is the real nail in the coffin. The knockout win over Taylor might've been the worst thing possible for him in that it blinded him from seeing what he really had to work on.

Truth is when you have a tournment like this when a guy loses early and for the first time you just never really know how they will react. I never liked this thing, I thought that it would take too long and it did. I thought that it would ruin some careers and it did. You cant really fighter that many good fighters in a row and come out the same, unless you dominate everyone you face like Ward has done. A bracket syle would have worked out much better. plus it would have left some fights for the winner. Once this thing is over the only person left for the winner is Bute, then what???

Abraham has looked like trash his past 3 fights.

Abraham is done against top level competition.

Everyone knows the solution to his Rubik's cube.

    He's been solved.

tonight just basically convinced me of something I have thought for a long time and that is that Arthur Abraham has no stamina. It seemed he punched himself out a bit after the 4th round. That must be why he doesn't throw that many punches till the end when his opponents are tired. It was confirmed when he was breathing heavy with his mouth open in the 6th round, the fight isnt even half over. Ward wasn't as respectful of his power after he was gassed.

As awkward as Froch is, I actually see a competitive fight lined up for the finals if Froch beats johnson.

Great point, and props to AA for this. :good:good

Look, the writing was on the wall for AA after the Froch fight. He could have bailed on the tourney just to save face. He did not, and that definitely deserves big praise. All props from me on that count; AA deserves them.

Many other fighters would have pulled out before tonight's bout given the circumstances, citing a fake injury or something.

He is such a waste of talent. When he gets off first he does very well. When he blocks with the shell everything ceases. I thought after the froch fight he would come out and use movement at least to block some jabs by Ward. It puts him in a lull and he has to exhaust mad energy to get rolling.

How the hell has Ulli Wegner produces multiple champions. I dont know if hes a good trainer in the gym, but if he is it doesn't show. Hes also horrible in the corner.
