Ward is a superstar in the making - no one is getting in his way.

Ward over Abraham for the Championship. Any permutation of these makes for good fights, though.

Any of the possible combinations could go either way, and this tourney has had more than its share of upsets. And as Yogi Berra once remarked, making predictions ia always risky, especially if they're about the future.

    That said, here goes:

IF THE FIGHT HAPPENS, I give Ward the edge. He has shown an ability to adjust to different styles of opponent. Dirrell is slicker and faster than anyone he's faced so far, and brings some sliding baseballl moves to the game when he senses there's danger in staying vertical. But I see Ward getting the nod here.

Froch is a lot tougher than anyone AA has faced so far. He also has a a slight edge over Arthur in som of the basics. So he could well take this one. But I'm expecting Abraham to be hungry to avenge his showing in America, and perhaps be a bit more determined, a bit earlier. I will pick AA by stoppage, mid to late rounds and while behind on the cards.

Ward has the wherewithal to beat AA. He's much faster and more skilled and should take this by a comfortable UD. I see him wanting to do what nobody has done before in stopping AA. I see him getting a little cocky late and being caught with something big. AA has KO power in the final minute of the fight. And I think we might see it demonstrated. Against my better judgment, AA takes the whole ball of wax.

"For boxing fans wondering about whether Andre Ward (22-0, 13 KO’s) and Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 Ko’s) were going to be dropping out of the Super Six tournament - Dirrell, 26, had this to say in response to Dan Rafael on his Twitter page, “Just postponed as I know, not off.” Dirrell, of course, is talking about his scheduled September 25th Super Six tournament bout against Ward, a fight which they still don’t have a venue for after all this time. The venue has been the main sticking point in arranging the fight."

I am so, so pumped for the last stages of the Super Six. Cant believe how pumped i am  Great event this is.

Im thinking Dirrell is going to beat Ward, and right now im leaning towards Froch over AA.

    Scene:

"Super middleweight Andre Dirrell says there is "no truth at all" in the rumors being spread that he's attempting to withdraw from his Super Six bout with WBA champion Andre Ward. They are set to meet in the third stage of Showtime's Super Six tournament. The date was set for September 25 but without a location or an agreement between the two sides for a venue, the fight "is being postponed," says Dirrell.

Both Dirrell and Ward knew they would face each other in the third stage of the Super Six when Showtime drafted the tournament plans in 2009. When the story broke on Showtime's Super Six tournament on July 3, 2009 - this very website had the entire schedule to the Super Six, including the Ward vs. Dirrell bout which was set, even back then, for September 2010.

Both fighters signed Super Six contracts knowing they would face each other in the third stage. They accepted high purses for their previous fights in the Super Six, with the knowledge they would fight in the third stage. It's very unlikely that either boxer will attempt to withdraw from their scheduled fight, because Showtime would have an easy time proving their case when a lawsuit is filed for damages."

I think Ward will get by Dirrell. Hopefully it won't be a **** fight. I hate fights between friends for that reason.

I think Abraham is going to starch Froch.

And then I think Ward will heat butt, clinch and low blow his way to beating Abraham.

Ward is going to man handle Dirrel.AA is going to KO overrated Froch easily . Ward will then out box AA. People need to understand Ward is also a student of the game. He studies his opponents pretty accurately .

Yep i was suggesting that from a head to head standpoint, as i feel Dirrell clearly beat Froch and he also beat Abraham, so i would be hard pressed to rate Abraham above him even though i believe Abraham will finish in second place officially.

In Ward vs Dirrell i feel Ward has all the necessary advantages from a style standpoint. Where Dirrell is flashy and inconsistent with the application of his defensive techniques, Ward is subtle and diligent to his game plan. Should be an interesting matchup from a technical standpoint, though it could get ugly at times, and i can see Dirrell getting frustrated and put off his game if there is any action on the inside.

Abraham should beat Froch, although Froch is slicker and cleverer than people give him credit for, i feel Abraham is a big stylistic challenge for him. Outpointing Abraham requires a high volume of combination punching and good footwork and defensive aptitude. Froch is hittable and likes to throw one punch at a time, he should be effective for a while whilst Abraham is being his lazy self, but he will start to get tagged at some stage and it won't go well from that point on.

    Courtesy of fanhouse:

"Promoters Gary Shaw and Dan Goossen have been mailed "legal letters" from Showtime representatives advising them that a scheduled Sept. 25 bout between WBA super middleweight (168 pounds) titlist Andre Ward (pictured above) and challenger Andre Dirrell must come off on the original date, or else in early October, with a lawsuit being the potential threat if it does not.

Part of the third stage of the Showtime Super Six Super Midddleweight Boxing Classic, the match up between Ward (22-0, 13 knockouts) and the switch-hitting Dirrell (19-1, 13 KOs) still does not have a site determined, Shaw told FanHouse on Sunday.

The letters notified Shaw, who promotes Dirrell, and Goossen, who promotes Ward, that they "would be in breach of contract" if the fight is not made for Sept. 25 or early October. Goossen could not immediately be reached for comment. Dirrell has said that the fight "is being postponed," but Shaw said that he is unaware of that being the case. Shaw did say, however, that he has no negotiation completed with Goossen, nor has a site been determined for the bout."

Now that the Ward - Dirrell is a semifinal, Ward will do everything to stay at home. In every 360 Goossen seems to complain and make problems. It seems that Ward and Goossen had there own agenda all the time..........................

"Although the format of Showtime's remaining Super Six World Boxing Classic bouts remains in limbo due to the sudden withdrawal of super middleweight titlist Mikkel Kessler due to an eye injury on Aug. 25, there were two significant decisions made Monday as it relates to the stakes.
The WBC, which has supported the six-man tournament from the outset, announced that it has stripped the injured Kessler of his 168-pound belt and named him the organization's "champion emeritus." That means when Kessler, who is expected to be sidelined for about nine months, returns the WBC will allow him to immediately challenge for the title.
Further, the WBC said it voted unanimously to fill the vacancy with the winner of the bout between Andre Ward, who holds the WBA's title, and Andre Dirrell, who is the WBC's No. 1 contender.
The WBC also sanctioned the Oct. 2 Super Six bout between former titlist Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham as a final title eliminator, which means the winner of Ward-Dirrell will be mandated to face the Froch-Abraham winner next."

This is an interesting move; very well handled by the WBC IMO.

That clarifies what Dan Rafael was told about last week. There are legal letters but not about the fight not happening. They are about both promoters not respecting the schedule. Showtime seems to have no patience left, and it's a good thing. Too much BS about locations, added to some injuries. The tournament has to go back on trail, and soon.
