Have you moved JCC down a few? I think you have. Good call.

Yeah I did. Olivares went first and JCC just sort of trickled after him. I'm going to move Yarosz up...now!

    Fair enough on Herman.

I still think that guys like Arizmendi and LaBarba did better work, p4p, than he did,and I think a couple of those bantam champs fall into the solid but not spectacular category...but I can see where you're coming from in terms of being the best bantam of that particular era. That's always a big consideration when making lists of this sort. :good

Besides, it's your list, and when I finally get around to making mine I can put Herman as high or as low as I want, right? :D

If you put that joker in your avatar any higher than 101 then Flea will be calling for a ban, and I think him and McGrain are tight...so..

What's your take on Gilberto Roman, McGrain?

I think he was on the same level as MAB Marquea and Morales as a fighter.

Great skills(better than any of them) solid power, good physical ability(not as much as MAB or Morales, about on par with Marquez if a bit better because of his legs) plenty of title defences, great trilogy with another excellent fighter in Laciar, dethroned Watanabe and beat plenty of serviceable contenders.Fought almost every one of the other top talents in a stacked division no matter the scenario.

Not saying you should include him too, just curious how you rate him.I think he's often still quite forgotten as far as Mexican greats go.

Not as much as you I would think .

I know quite a few of his challengers fought each other which at least shows to me anyway a competative division and a couple fought for I think the WBA version before challenging Chang , most I think were around world level and he beat Zapata twice for me. But could you please tell if I am missing something with efrin pinto I don't see what he done to deserve a tittle shot

What did you see in Roman that makes you say he was more skilled than the likes of JMM and MAB? I have a lot of footage of Roman and I don't see the disparity.

Depth and a short prime hurt Chang on lists like this, similar to Benny Lynch.

Both are worth a lower tier place on sheer talent though.

ACTUALLY was Pinto the lanky ******* coming off a decision win over highly ranked Torres? Think he might be an whilst basic he wasn't that bad. That MIGHT be Cano though.

He was a better technical fighter and outboxer imo.Far superior footwork and control of range, equally capable on the move or coming forward.A much "tidier" fighter.

He wasn't more formidable offensively, but still had all the punches and good combos delivered with solid power.

can somebody PLEASE present a case for Oscar being on the list and not Walcott.. **** or even Morales or MAB... I could name more.. but let's start there.. Or at least give me the reasons why Walcott doesn't deserve to be there.. was it is competition.. longevity...skills... WHAT is it about his career?
