Floyd and Manny above some of those guys hurts, but I respect your opinion.

Good write-ups, but I'd liked Harada's flyweight tenure to have been given a bit more attention...Ebihara, the amazing performance over Pone first time, his age at winning the title, the away fight against Pone...I was looking forward to seeing you wax lyrical about that stuff too.

The YCIII piece really made me smile. The Steele one painted such a great picture of how formidable he was.

    Cheers.

Room, it's all room. I could get across who Harada was with Jofre and that "clearing out" of the Bantamweights. This is the biggest one yet, it's 5400 words. Too big. 5k is generally as big as i want to take it you know?

It's interesting you should say that about Corbett. I realised early during his write up that he was higher than he ought to be. I moved him down to #56 or whatever but at the time i was writing i was trying to justify it, so I was really giving it a ****ing go

Nah, it was just the list had a type in it - Hopkins got written up at #51 and Hearns will be - above that.

Amazing how many changes i'm making from the list.

Mickey Walker ran at Max Schmeling.

Ray Leonard was wasted by Hector Camacho.

Walkers achievements run from welter to heavy.

Ray was first man to beat Kalule.

Weigh it up. You still have time.

i don't know flea that leonard shouldn't really factor into any discussion.

(though gun to my head i'll take walker over leonard by a hair)

I'm obviously not going to do that now, i'm busy with other ****, but when it comes to Walker he either will move up or he won't. The truth tends to out under careful examination.

He's more justifiable being there then Les Darcy, Marcel Cerdan, Aaron Pryor, Ricardo Lopez, Khaosai Galaxy being anywhere in the top 100 lists you see.

Obviously Walker was well on the decline there considering he was back at middle....but you don't need to tell anybody else that :D

And yes, McLarnin's K.O of YCIII is, as you know, a win I rank as one of the greatest results of all time and probably the greatest 1st round K.O ever (Nunn-Kalambay maybe)

**** it. I love the fact you hadn't considered him too much and eventually he managed to actually sneak past you  He forced his way into the top 100. That means it was the right placing :yep

Yeah, I could see him below Gibbons and Lewis but no lower. One of those three spots is the spot for him, he's unquestionably top 60 with these criteria.

The title was on the line if Leonard managed to knock Welsh out.

The Bartfield bout can be considered a draw. Even though four hometown papers voted for Bartfield, the rest of the New York papers either voted for Gibbons (Press, Sun) or a draw (Herald, Tribune, Times, Evening World, Associated Press).

I see a bias towards short bald black Americans.

Noway should Sam Langford be #1.
