i know, thats why i watched the round several times after pac mentioned it. yes, he got hit with a couple of beauties, one of which made him want to suddenly sit on the ropes. but by the end of the round, he was going after margo again. maybe he was looking for margo to hit him again to see if he could take it or maybe he wasnt as hurt as he would like to let margos fans believe.

 

What makes you think he'll brawl with Margo freddy? I don't think he will, he's proven himself adept at sticking to a gameplan. He resisted the temptation to brawl with Williams until the late rounds of the first fight, even though he was presented with an opponent who was poor defensively, didn't really compare in the speed department and who he couldn't miss with his shots. The same with Pavlik, I would think in that sense it would be the same story with Margo.

I agree that Margo is a bad stylistic matchup for Martinez who uses a lot of gas to do what he does, and Margo will come at him all night.

But Pac might have finished Margarito. He took the beating of a lifetime. His corner should have stopped the fight.

 

One fight? He spanked Cintron and Pavlik. Most felt he beat Williams the first time.

Martinez is a bad man. This crap about him landing a lucky punch is outrageous but not surprising considering some of the posters who post here regularly.

I don't think Margarito is a bad style match up...I think he's perfect. Martinez would be detonating bomb after bomb onto the incoming Margarito, who is not an elusive target, and who doesn't seem to be able to mount any offense unless he's able to set himself these days.

What other fighter in history has 30 minutes of evidence on video of them duckin another fighter?

 

That was no lucky punch, and I agree Martinez is a great fighter. PFP top 5 maybe top 3.

He can fight inside, outside, has great technique, physical tallent, he'll actually go all out to get the win...

And he's building up an impressive resume.

margo is no bum and i have never considered him one. he is a world class fighter who despite his limitations, has beaten a strong list of world class fighters. and yes, even in defeat he proved to be dead game and should be proud of his effort. i think he earned pacs respect and pac felt the need to let him know.
look at margos face when pac pulled him close and spoke in his ear. that is the face of a man who knows he is beat but felt a duty to keep trying.
