The TRUTH About Anthony Joshua's Future

This is a complete myth about Joshua rushing in. He actually waited then landed a huge right before going in for the kill. Any other boxer in that situation would have done the same.

 

I agree with that to an extent. That right was huge after the KD, Joshua’s mistake was staying in the pocket after landing that right hand not the initial rushing in.

We shouldn’t take anything away from Ruiz, he boxed beautifully, his body shots were absolutely brilliant. When he landed that second body shot in the 6th, the fight was over. However, Joshua's power is unreal and if that shot that he landed in the 3rd after the KD lands in the 10th when Ruiz is tiring then it will likely bingo him.

 

You make some really good points mate but you are letting the hate you have for Joshua blind you a little...if Joshua does a number on him in the rematch you will look a fool. Both men deserve respect. To say either has no chance of winning is stupid.

 

My problem with Joshua isn't with him personally it's with his fans acting like the rematch is 50/50 or better for Joshua and that he "almost ko'd ruiz"

It's like they learned nothing.

If AJ does win fair play and it won't be the first time I've looked stupid.

 

The bookies have AJ as favourite to win the rematch, so it's not just "his fans acting like the rematch is 50/50 or better".

 

The answer to the question “is Ruiz AJ’s kryptonite or did AJ just have an off night” will only be truly answered in the rematch. Personally there is a good case for either. One thing for sure ithe rematch will be squeaky bum time for all associated the AJ camp .

 

Still think Ruiz wins but AJ will be better this time both mentally and from a strategic point of view, probably better from a 'physical' standpoint too, if the rematch is in the UK and everyone involved is in Eddie's pocket including the testers AJ will be less cautious with his 'supplements' than he was the first fight.

Ruiz coming in extra heavy was a big factor in the win. Joshua isn't normally a mover, and he struggled to stand toe to toe with the blob. He's only got 2 choices in my opinion, trim down to 240lbs, and go for the late stoppage. Or bulk up to the mid 250s and go for the early blow put. Joshua looked very good when he was trim and lean against Sprott and Skelton when he was light. I think he should go for that type of conditioning, and keep sticking Ruiz with the jab, amd go in for the kill when he's tired.

Be the same. If you notice all bookies everywhere are generally the same price otherwise there’s a little thing called arbing which guarantees a win no matter the outcome.

I have just checked and you can get 11/4 n Ruiz from US bookies !!!
I thought odds would be different here as more people would be betting on AJ and more betting on Ruiz in US....

Big odds imo considering it wasnt just a fluke punch in first fight it was a beating really

 

I can’t see AJ coming out quick after counters he caught in the first fight. I think he will try to box but that won’t work either down the stretch, so I agree he needs to come out fast lol, but I don’t think he will succeed. It would be interesting to know their plan of action after a loss like that, it’s like AJ will need to fix a number of issues and be able to perform a number of strategies but they have to pick one to go with. But as said, is he this good, and versatile?

It’s a case where Ruiz is likely to be very confident as well, he knows he can beat AJ to the punch and hurt him when they exchange, he came off better. It’s a huge task to overcome, I admire AJ’s balls in getting back in there but think it’s a mistake.
