No, AJ was getting his **** slapped from the very beginning.

All AJ had to do was switch to a defensive jab+move style (like Parker did when he fought Ruiz), but AJ couldn't manage it.

the truth about the fight is what we saw in the ring... no analysis is going to change what happened.. when they fight again the truth will be what happens... nothing else...

I have always suspected that what contributed heavily to Ruiz winning the fight was that Ruiz hit Joshua hard a bunch of times and knocked him down on his ass several times. Kicked Joshua's ass and he quit. The ref called it off seeing that Joshua was quitting. In summary, Ruiz beat Joshua's ass, knocked him down several times and Joshua quit...plus the referee called it. Seemed that way to me.

You just don’t want to see what is there on tape, the first two rounds were a precursor to what was going to happen, whether it was the third, fourth or fifth round, he was going to hurt AJ. Go check the 2nd round again, AJ was staggered early by a right hand, and he was going to get staggered again. Ruiz was landing with fast combos, he was coming forward, beating him to the punch.

This is a stylistic issue for AJ. Ruiz was taking his time breaking AJ down, he respected his power. To say he didn’t have a pulse is to add to your agenda, he clearly still had power and Ruiz was cautious before really opening up with combinations later in the fight, when this happened it was over, AJ tried firing back but had no answer, he knew it so wanted out.

I think he will struggle for answers in the rematch as well, he will likely lose close exchanges. He might try fighting from a distance but Ruiz will be coming forward again putting pressure on.

If Joshua wins the rematch, would you give him much credit then? Because you are setting yourself up to praise him, if he wins it =) But somehow I think after that win you are still here talking rubbish about Joshua. And yeah...show us when he clearly HURT Joshua in round 2, I must have missed it xD Or did you look the match with Snickers-glasses on perhaps?

Ruiz won fair and square, but he helped his luck because joshua got reckless trying to finish ruiz and ruiz landed a perfect counter punch on the temple and took Joshua's equilibrium. That's why he was floored 3 more times.
Imo joshua keeps him on the end of his jabs and wins an ud.

Against wilder it's a 50/50 fight, who connects first big time is the winner. Wilder is more awkward and faster, so I am going with him, and I am by far not a wilder fan, even an hater i have to admit.

Fury vs joshua would be good, cause fury would run and try to outbox him, he can't hurt joshua. And joshua would run after him the whole fight.

Imo usyk beats them all besides joshua and wilder having a lucky punch chance

I'm just saying what I saw, AJ was staggered in round two and it was a sign of things to come, if you dont agree I can deal with that, fair enough. of course i would praise Joshua if he won, it would be a major statement. I wont lie, I'm not AJ's biggest fan but I give him credit where it is due, although he showed weaknesses against Wlad I think he really earned a lot of respect there and proved himself. the reality is that Ruiz exposed Joshua's weaknesses further.

Ruiz never landed on the back of the head, AJ is lying. Just gotta accept that he lost that fight and stop making excuses. Ruiz beat him fair and square. AJ talking about he'll beat Ruiz 9 times out of 10, but the reality is that Ruiz really beat him 1 of 1.

Joshua being reckless wasn't some new mistake he did it vs wlad and nearly paid

    Ruiz won fair and square

    Maybe Joshua underestimated him

Ruiz was executing his game plan from the start. Measured Joshua and set up hooks and overhands . Joshua also was predictable with his combinations and if he missed a first shot never came through with a more allowing Ruiz to safely unload

Joshua needed to box carefully on the back foot but he has never really had to do it.

Ruiz may not be a monster but he absolutely did destroy Joshua.

Parker **** the bed in that fight

That's all Parker is missing from his boxing game the willingness to lay it on the line and the ability to rough it out.

If Parker maybe was willing to risk it for a biscuit or slowly work his way into a trade like Ruiz he may have found some success

Who has ever said Ruiz is a power puncher? He has decent power but is in no way shape or form a power puncher or a savage puncher. Joshua however is Glass Jawed. That is the difference.

True that. Joshua's gonna retake the belts. But now Ruiz is overrated and AJ is considered almost a bum. The truth is AJ the last 1st June has had a bad day at the office. He hasnt been able to manage the pressure to fight for the first time in the US...in the third round he knocked Ruiz down with a powerful combination and he was to end the job but Ruiz has been very brave to return with power...at that point AJ hasnt understood he had to be nastier than before...instead he stopped to hit hard and so Ruiz has had a simple play because he was more convicted to win.
