Not really as you made the joke in the first place, mate! I don't want any credit- it's a trailer, we're all travelling together:thumbsup. Anyway, I am a little worried about how far this trailer might go- I hope it leaves England:think. He needs a lot of work and this was way too soon. Credit to him, though- he deserves a lot of praise for his performance over 10 rounds against someone in the domestic class of McDermott.
to modest Sir to modest Yeah i'm worried but ealry on he showed some skills then gassed but then he rallied late on...i like that. Mcdermott fought really well....Tyson needs to throw a straight right hand and also crispen up shorts shots and also learn to parry jabs. I think with time....he get there just worried about the match making...that was a huge risk by the people that matter.
I gave Fury 1, 5, 6, 9 & 10. Maloney was getting a bit carried away saying it was a worse robbery than Lewis vs Holyfield I atsch The scorecard was really silly I must admit, exactly the reason why we either need a single scoring judge at ringside for all fights, or three, as per all fights at British title level or above. Giving it to Fury wasn't THAT bad, but by any more than a single point is ridiculous. He showed plenty of balls going in with a 30 fight vet (and 3 time Brit title challenger) in only his 8th fight. That shouldn't be forgotten, regardless of your thoughts on the card.
I agree with you yet again Beeston. To many people are quick to jump on a young mans back. Mcdermott deserves huge props...but he was not given the win. Fury held firm and in that last round showed he has what he takes. He is 20 years old....long way to go.
Fair enough, I agree with everything you're saying regarding the scoring system and Fury is deserving of credit :good but we'll have to agree to disagree on the final outcome
I had McDermott winning 7 rounds. The last two rounds I thought Fury looked good. The rest of the fight he was pretty sloppy, not connecting well, and the "double jab" his corner kept yelling at him to use looked as if it did little more than dab the sweat off Mcdermott's brow. It was a good brawl but I'm scratching my head as to how it could've been construed as a Fury win, or even a draw. And I wanted Fury to win going into this.
Yeah i understand what your saying. I didn't like Mcdermotts work that much. It was what you like....in saying that i agree Fury's jab at times was a joke.
Yep We Keep Rolling!!!!! :good Lets hope he is better matched next time....huge jump up...he only had 36 Amateur fights i believe. Not a lot of experience in hindsight.
Get your T-Shirts. Believe da hype people!!!! :deal :hammertime http://www.hennessysports.com/product-30.htm
He has a good chin. That uppercut he took right on the chin when fighting against Fury knocked his head straight back but he managed to carry on. What a trooper.
