I always have a little chuckle at threads marking down a fighter as a hype job. Keep adding to the hype*, Aydamn... *Hype: to stimulate, excite, or agitate
Like I said, that remains to be seen. All I'm saying is that Haye said he was going to clean up, decapitate the Klitschkos, etc. He didn't.
Hey I just want to provide some therapy sessions and counseling to fanboys who have been experiencing episodes of hysteria, delusions and halluicinations regarding Usyk at heavy weight. Thread title will draw the zombies in.
Exactly.. and that is my point. David had a better chance than Usyk... and Usyk has no chance of doing any better than Haye did. Haye's main issue was his reach when facing good opposition. Tyson had that problem too. And these two small heavies, including Povetkin haad more chance than Usyk ever will at heavyweight.
How do you expect Parker to win? He's not going to outbox Usyk, if they jab at each other for 12 rounds we all know who comes out on top. So Parker needs to win by KO or by hurting Usyk. Parker's power is decent but not exceptional; if he can't hurt CW-sized Ruiz Jr, Hughie Fury, Takam, Whyte, Cojanu, ... how is he supposed to hurt Usyk, who is better defensively than most of those names? I understand if you think Wilder or Joshua would KO Usyk ... fine. But Parker matches up all wrong to Usyk, as a Parker fan I would advise him to steer as far clear of Usyk as possible.
Why are you a fan of someone you don't believe in? I think Parker has what it takes to beat Usyk based on speed and footwork. Combinations... and he hit Dillian with enough venom to put him down in the 12th so he's dangerous till then... and Dillian has a strong chin ... Parker has stronger chin than Usyk so I see Parker hurtin Usyk much more and stopping him by 12th.
I didn't say that you did. You said "Haye said he would clean up division" Im saying david had more of a chance than Usyk to clean up division.. he even sparred heaviest hitters in heavies. And now Usyk is getting hyped and he doesnt have same chance as David (who already failed)
According to you. It very much depends what camp you fall into. If you were a Haye fan, then of course you would believe it. Just like Usyk fans think their man can do something similar. The fact is what you believe or what the chances are is irrelevant. What happens is all that matters. Until then it's all conjecture and hot air.
It comes across more self-help than anything though. I mean it's as illogical to dismiss as it is to anoint right now. We'll see in the fullness of time, and that's POV is the antithesis of hype. I really want to see how he handles Bellew not because that will give insight into how he will shape up as a HW but how he copes headlining a big Sky/DAZN card. Hearn has high expectations that's clear to see, the 'sell' will come from Matchroom should he deal with Tony in good style. Eddie may well prove to be the driver of the hype train...
Thank you for the voice of reason .. it is conjecture based on nothing tangible. Joshua has proved hes stock at heavy weight. David was one of the best cruisers ever.. in his prime vs Usyk... that would have been interesting
When eddie drives the hypetrain its so he can make millions.... what is everyones excuse on here then? They are actually believing Usyk beats top 5 heavies. Thats outlandish. And thats my gripe with the hype. Accept Usyk for what he is now... and show some respect for Joshua and other heavies that have grinded hard to up their stock at heavy. Povetkin is a small guy who spent years at heavy honing his style against larger super heavies.. and Usyk is just going to walk in and pick up where povetkin left off? You can't download that experience in any short time. ***** that level of fanboyism get real... learn how to form a solid opinion.
The equation will probably look like this: How much does he earn with 5 title defenses at CW? And how much does he earn with a single shot e.g. at the WBA regular belt and an additional defense?
You can respect AJ and talk up a potential long-term rival. It's possible to do both. Only a fanboy - from either side of the divide - would suggest otherwise...
