The Heavyweight divsion, at least it's the worst out of the main top 10 divisions. The talent level is terrible, when the best fighter in the world as a glass chin and no toughness at the top level, you know you have a problem. Not to mention the fact a fighter 4 years removed from the ring is set to comeback and fight the number 2 guy in the world, and he's the betting favorite, something seriously wrong with the division.
He has a lot to brag about because he's a very good boxer who would be favored against anybody from 168-175. Also some interesting prospects coming up such as Tavoris Clouds and Shaun George.
I also agree that the middleweight division is getting kinda crappy. I actually like the heavyweight division. It's not what boxing had in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's but it's been an improvement from five years ago
Not sure i'd agree with this division being the weakest. Alfredo Angulo Sergio Martinez Andrey Tsurkan Yuri Foreman James Kirkland Joe Greene Daniel Santos Joachim Alcine Vernon Forrest Sergei Dzindziruk Joel Julio Zaurbek Baysangurov Sechew Powell Deandre Latimore Ronald Hearns John Duddy Travis Simms Sergio Mora Oscar De La Hoya ? Vanes Martirosyan Verno Phillips Cory Spinks Roman Karmazin
Light Heavyweight is one of the worst. I mean can you actually name 15 Top world class fighters at this weight ? I couldn't. Light Flyweight is actually worse than Minimumweight overall I struggled to come up with 10 top class fighters. Flyweight is also very poor as alot have moved up to Superfly. Again I struggled to come up with 10 top names. To be honest in most of the lower weight classes there are not many divisions where you can name more than 15 really top names. Middleweight is also quite poor.
SUperfeather easily wins this award the man of the division is a guy coming off 2 straight loses and right behind him is Nicky Cook....seriously Nicky Cook
