Personally, I prefer II- that said, we rarely agree on which fights are more enjoyable, Pater:good. I just remember watching it at the time and thinking 'JMM is badass'! I don't care either- he won that second clearly fight:bart. Won't stop me enjoying the first as well, though:yep.
i like the first better i actually felt Marquez won the first fight clearer than the second. And i thought he won the 2nd.
Who'd have thought it?!:goodYou're not too big a fan of the Izzy-Rafa trilogy either, are you? That amazes me in all honesty. That's what I love about this thread- everyone has a different opinion. This should be a sticky, IMO.
i love the Rafa vs Vasquez series. The 3rd fight is one of the best of all time, i just think the first 2 are good fights not great. then again one of my favrouite figths is Johnson vs Pastrano and Rose vs Rudkin which others think are snoozefests
I watched Groves v Chunky on here....I need to watch it a few more times with the volume down...:think
Winky Wright v Felix Trinidad This was so one-sided it is untrue. Winky jabbed the head off Tito all night, he didnt take any risks to try force a stoppage, just stuck to the gameplan. Wright also looked much stronger and bigger, Trinidad never looked like he could cause him any trouble.
Roy Jones Jr v Jeff Lacy: Jones Jr looked pretty good, maybe because Lacy looked terrible. One-sided beating. Juan Diaz v Pual Malignaggi: I had it Paulie by 2 rounds, although there were 4 close rounds that you could have scored either way. Very good fight though I enjoyed it thoroughly.
been in the gym today just thought this deserved a mention. Theres this kid i love wathcing box hes 11 but is such a classy operater a brilliant pure boxer. Hes sparring my brother whos alot bigger than him and a good fighter. The young guy throws a right hand lead to the body followed by a left to the jaw and turns his man 180 degrees and follows up with a combo. Thats a sign of a great fighter.
Sounds **** hot Greg. I think you'll make a fantastic trainer one day lad, what with you analysing fights and having been in there yourself. Anyway, today I watched Money May/Marquez 24:7 episode one, Holyfield vs Bert Cooper and Alexis Arguello vs Cornelius Boza-Edwards. Forgot how many beastly right hands Boza-Edwards shipped in that fight, tough as nails.
Arguello vs Boza is brillaint love taht fight and to think Boza was near unheard of as a pro at that time. thanks i was working with the kids today in the gym but they ws too busy looking around. As for training i help alot of the younbger boxers with tips like i taught that wee guy that turn and another boy to jab to the chest to set up his attacks. I really want to get into training when im older and even know as i train so much i need to rest in the gym abit and help out other lads
Fantastic. Stickied at last :good I watched Casa-Katsidis against tonight, what a fight! The first minute of RD3 was a glimpse of Casita at his absolute best. And what a punch to end the fight!
